Personally, I actually like that smaller style and would buy them without issue. Storage would be much easier IMO.

Perhaps they'll now be able to focus on getting full, meaningful artwork on the case... too many steelbooks have lots of open space where they just simply couldnt fill the cover with art, or it feels forced where they added filler to get to a full case.

Well, G1 is pretty dead already.
I can see them do that as well, i wont say i wont collect them, i need to have 1 in hand to check it first. However, i wouldnt be sad if they stopped making G2, at least i would know how many i had left to get
