I'd be fine with either of those as long as they don't screw us in the ol' Fable 2 fashion... promise one thing, they at the last minute (as you're shipping units out to customers) say "oh sorry, we just decided you're not going to get everything."

Oh, yeah, I'd totally forgotten how that one was handled.

I got my hands on one of the actual limited editions with the Hobbe figure/cards/big box a while after that so they did seem to have actually produced them but aside from one rumour about the figures using lead paint I've not seen any other actual explanation for the cancellation. (I'm not a seller but I do sometimes wonder how much the full set is actually worth these days considering at best you only see the occasional Hobbe figure pop up on eBay.)

Yeah, they definitely made them, I think some places in Europe got them. Someone on this site was selling the Russian version of it, and was fairly reasonable for a price (Whole CE for ~$100). Unfortunately, I slacked off an missed buying it before it sold...

If it helps you for the future (seeing your flag), it was actually the US that I got mine from. Just in case that would mean they did appear in some numbers closer to you too.

Seller was strangely awkward about the transaction and shipping right enough, I ended up having to get one of my mum's friends over there to act as a middleman and then send it over to us.

No, there aren't even mockup pictures of the CE's content.

This is rather weird seeing as how close this game is to release..
Well hey, I just tweeted them on Twitter, so hopefully someone responds…

Never cancelled my pre-order, so got this in the mail today. Thoughts:

1) Steelbook was visibly scratched... while still sealed. Perpendicular to the spine, so must have been a manufacturing defect.

2) Case is indeed not the greatest quality. The sliding mechanism sucks and took 2 tries to get it to work (it even comes with an instruction pamphlet on how to open it... not good)

3) Handles on the case are backwards from what you would think - they are hinged on the bottom and open from the top... which means they fall open very easily.

4) Pro was that it was packaged extremely well overall, of which this I was pleased at.
