Interesting. There probably is a policy difference between EU and US.

US store clearly states

Coupon not valid for preorders, newly released games (eg. Games released in the past 3 months), clearance products, Uplay+ subscription and virtual currency packs.

They even take it further and explicit state you can not use it on AC Valhalla

The discount code is not valid for pre-orders, in-game currency, UPLAY+ or newly released titles.
Newer titles exit the new release window three months from the official launch date.

US getting screwed by Ubisoft as usual. They also removed all collectible merchandise from the store (such as the new hidden blade)

Moreover, in Canada, the 20% off discount can be worth up to 50 CAD off. I'm sorry but what the hell is this. If you buy for 300$ of items you'll still get only 50$ off. Plus you can't use on half the stuff in the store.

It's also strange enough that they removed all the figurines from the store, yet if you run a google search, you will find that the pages still exist and some items are still in stock.
