well you can't really compare sonic and mgs. Sonic yes a fan but I wouldn't buy the CE for it. As for MGS, fans or no fans, the cost more

I emailed them when they were cancelling orders and I got useless replies, even when I replied with a very clear question I still didn't get an answer.
Does anyone know when this will be going on sale again? I know it's 7th but what time? Midnight - 9am? anyone? |

Y'know the more i look at this the more i think it's just symptomatic of the way us collectors are being dicked around by all and sundry.
Yes, I'm happy to be getting the artbook. No, i'm not happy about having the 4000-piece yanked away on Konami's whim. I'll certainly not be happy if it's a poxy stickerbook either. But why should i have to be happy with this or unhappy with that when Konami should never have announced the limited numbered steelbook in the first place. 4000 was never going to satisfy the huge MGS fanbase . . .and all this from a games company with years and years of experience from arcades to video games. We know it's all about Konami making more money but why piss off your customers by stretching their goodwill to the fucking limit ![]() And, the least said about Zavvi's contribution to the confusion, the better. And here's a mad idea - why didn't Konami put out the limited steelbook AND the replacement edition if they're THAT effing greedy. Sure the market could have stood it. In my opinion this has been the worst year ever for CE collectors. Between all the online fuckups and broken promises about content and now this . . .well, in all honesty, i'm beginning to feel a bit stressed. Don't know about the rest of ya . . . ![]() Last edited by kennyrh; 12-05-2011 at 02:45 PM. |

it's NOT going to be numbered...that's pretty clear...it's EXACTLY the same as the worldwide version...of course, if you've pre-ordered, they throw in a greatest hits version of MGS4 (PS3)...with the quick sell out of the product, and jacked up prices on-line..Konami knew they could milk it for double the amount of profits they were projecting...people need to understand die-hard collectors like ourselves make up maybe 2-5% of the video games market..not enough for any video game company to care, when the bottomline is profits...even without numbers, it will sell out anyways..so what do they care if we have gripes and concerns?..what are you gonna do?..tell them you won't ever buy another MGS Collectors Edition again?..:p..yea right!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA..WE CAN'T WIN!!..NO MATTER HOW YOU SLICE IT!!..HAHAHAHAHAHA

Hideo Kojima would have had much to say about limited editions and ensuring the price point of theses editions is affordable to the franchises HUGE fanbase. He has always been that way. The likelihood of people aiming to earn huge profit at the fans expense may be the reason for the change I'm Sure.
For example, I'm a huge fan but missed out. I'm glad that now I have the opportunity to buy this without getting ripped off. |
