Hello all,pleasures all mine.

Anyway,i've recently ordered 2 copies of this,one for myself to drool over and the other to eventually sell for a wee profit.

My quandry is that its been up on Zavvi for preorder for a good few days now and is yet to be sold out. Does that point to everybody having ordered a copy that wants a copy, and that my spare copy wont really escalate in price due to everybody that wants it already having it?

I thought it would be really popular but as I said,its still available to preorder. If its not going to a good investment then i'll just get the one copy for myself and cancel the other.

Thoughts?

Its only been up a few days, give it time it will sell-out soon, although its not appealing to me or others as much as the first version it will definitely appreciate no question at all about that

Well, I think it took about 2 days for the original 4,000 to sell out. So if you go by that logic then 13,000 should sell out in a little over 6 days. (4,000 every 2 days).

I think they went up on the 7th right then it should sell out around the 14th give or take.

That's using the same numbers and time frame mind you.

These are STILL very limited. I know not 4,000 limited, however there are WAY more than 13,000 hardcore MGS fans out there. After all MGS4 is the second highest selling ps3 game in the UK according to Chart-Track, not to mention how well it has sold over here in the states.

Our U.S. limited edition is selling for big bucks on ebay and these steelbook ones are far nicer (the US LE only includes the artbook and the regular plastic game in a cardboard case) and I believe more limited!

Thanks for the replies,i'll not cancel my second copy.
I have to say that I think its beautiful,the steelbook and tshirt are really smart and i'm sure the artbook will be lovely.

What exactly are we missing out on? A digital MGS1? Buy Twin Snakes. A copy of Mgs4? I would imagine any MGS fan already owns it. Is there anything else missing from what was originally offered?

Also,is there any word on what it will come in,a tin,a box,an old asda bag?

Chargersfan, that makes perfect sense what your saying regarding selling out timescales. I'd been trying to find out how long it took the original batch to sell out, I had it my mind they would have sold out in 10 minutes or something equally crazy. There was me sitting at the computer last wednesday constantly pushing refresh on the Zavvi page like a complete tube.

you have to wonder how well known it is that zavvi have re-listed them...they have been "sold out" for mths so most probably gave up resigned to eBay after launch

Very valid point lad.

I could be tempted to order another copy,one to open and drool over,one to sell and the other to stay sealed and get buried with me.

Agreed!

Once the word gets around I think these will pick up speed.

You also have to take into account how many cancelled their previous orders after the product had changed.

I am guessing more of them are keeping than canceling but we don't know how many.

I'd imagine Zavvi would have made back those numbers and then some by now.

I originally ordered just the PS3 version. But since we don't have to pay until they ship, a picked up three more!!!

(1) PS3 to open (1) PS3 to sell (1) PS3 to keep sealed and (1) 360 to keep sealed (These are the rarest versions)

After all I can always cancel some.

I think I've lost ma mind!!!
