Well, perhaps. But with the amount of glue on there you kind of have to wreck one of the panels to get it open. So if the box has been opened at some point and then re-sealed you could probably tell.

Agreed. Mine isn't that bad since I used a knife to cut through the glue, instead of just ripping it open.
