From what I know and read about. Steelbook take a minimum order quantity of 4000. I might be wrong but I have read this numerous times in different places.

So I presume there are 4000 mirrors edge and 4000 metal gear steelies.

Please correct me if anyone knows different

I'm not aware of the limitation or minimum unit production but i find it hard to see a plethora of some of the steelbooks released in the past.

Crysis 2 Nana Edition - only 200 unit for Australia
Soul Calibur IV - a bonus steelbook for pre-orders only! No way that many gamers made a preorder on that game back then
Mortal Kombat KE [UK] which is also identical to the Canadian Futureshop - also very limited

And then you got all those variant front covers for FIFA 12, surely they didn't print 4000 each on those??

I'm still waiting for 100% confirmation too - you have to wonder why the X360 version was opened (when there's less copies) and why we still have not see a PS3 sized stickerbook anywhere (only real steelbooks).

You also think maybe they say stickerbook so people expect the worse case and are pleasently surprised (ever hopeful!)
