Well I was actually pretty pleased with the release date being shoved quite far back, there was so much coming out at September/November and so it spread the cost a bit rather than spending a big amount in just one or two months.

What was making me question the price was in effect what I've got for the extra, say £45 since these HD collections seem to get to £25 pretty fast, is a really nice artbook, a big box which does look good, a steelbook and a T-shirt.

Was the release date much of a pain for you?

Well, I've had mixed feelings about this CE the whole time. Initially I was really annoyed that they cancelled the limited steelbook because i had just managed to get one before they closed the offer.

I was pleased that they moved the release date though because, like you, I was snowed under financially at the time.

When they announced the new version it looked okay until all the bullshit about stickerbooks - at which point i became anxious again. Now i have it, i'm just relieved that it's done with and even more relieved that it ain't a worthless stickerbook.

As for the package, I have to say it's pretty decent. The artbook is great, the steelbook looks mint and the manual for the game itself is outstanding - considering what other publishers are putting out.

I've spent more than £70 for CEs that have been a lot worse

Here are some pictures of the damaged boxes - Honestly it couldnt have been packaged worse, the boxes were worng size, no internal protection and plenty of room to move around internally

That's pretty much how mine arrived too. The Xbox ones arrived in larger boxes, but still low quality and poorly padded. These were squashed. The PS3 ones arrived in cubic shaped boxes which were too small for the CE, and it had to be placed diagonally. These ones arrived split like you showed above.

Strangely, the Xbox ones were delivered by Parcelforce on Monday, but the PS3 ones by Yodel on Tuesday.

You guys also know that Yodel is the same company as HDNL, don't you? So this comes to no surprise to me that these were delivered in this state. This is the same issue I had last year with my InFamous 2 Hero Edition

I breathed a sigh of relief when this was re-scheduled, for the reasons you stated above. But this in itself created just as many problems as we have pretty much the same situation now where every major game seems to be released around this prime time. At least it was a bit easier for me now than it would've been if this had been released back in November

However, I'm not amused at the change of contents, and I would have much rathered had the original set. I would even go as far as saying that I'd rather have what the Americans had, and I see no reason as to why they had to delay the release of this game for so long! I don't think it's fair that we here in the UK should have to wait for our release just because the Europeans are holding us up!

If anything, I'm more annoyed that Zavvi decided to process orders a week early, which royally stitched me up as I hadn't budgeted for it to be deducted earlier than this week. I'm also appalled by their shoddy packaging methods, but that's to be expected from them...
