3 bastard days after release and zavvi have dropped it by £7, i have sent them an email asking for a price difference refund or I am sending it back, really is not fair

That's certainly not on, especially when you can send the item back and order another at the cheaper price. They should offer you a partial refund to save you (and them) the effort though

It's frustrating when GAME do this two weeks after a release, despite having a 30 day returns policy. Sometimes it's too much hassle to return an over-sized CE, and there's no telling that what you'll receive in exchange would be in the same condition, so that makes it a bit of a gamble. You'd think that they would offer a partial discount though if you complained, but I've tried several times and they say you have to return the item

This is a been a serious problem with many stores that sell Collector's Edition, for items that don't sellout they need to shift them so they drop the price.

How they never understand that the cost of paying for returns, processing and dispatch for second item is far more expensive than refunding the difference is beyond belief.
