FYI this or any video game for that matter is not released in China only in Hong Kong or twian which of bother speak Chinese anyway. Main land China bans video game sales basically because they don't adhere to the governments standards.

Never knew this was available in taiwan as well. I've only ever searched on hong kong sites. Although I never searched that hard as I had trouble finding anything at all.

Now if I could only find a way to get things shipped from taiwan...

IT was never available in china video games are not released in CHina. You will see a verry sellect few released in China but they cater to the governments standards the games are near impossible to find outside of china itself and there hardly any games released not even aking worth while trying to find anyway. Best examples i can give are ique from nintendo because they worked with a chinese company to help get games released in Chinese but they were all download only and only 14 games were made anyway. Ique ds is not even region free the damn thing is to hard to find and you can not even find games for the freaking thing.

So turns out I am indeed one of those stereotypical uneducated Americans we all know and love

I honestly thought that Taiwan won independence from China at some point but I am incredibly mistaken

I really thought that the US either acknowledged or recognized Taiwan's independence from China but I really think I should stop talking now before I dig myself in any deeper

Btw geralds, I do trust your opinion on this stuff, I know you know what you're talking about when it comes to asian video games

When it comes to Twian being separate from China that is all who you talk to some say it is other don't I from my understanding The us government does not recongnize it as part of chinese and refuses to let china take it over while china from my understand still claims to actually own twian. So if you want to consider twian part of china then its just get special privileges and its own laws similar to hong kong.

Lets take wow as an example it got released in China but it had to get censored and on top of that Chinese can not connect outside Chinese servers they will just get an blocked errors message. I have no idea if Chinese wow copies will work outside of china ether if they do you still can not connect to a chinese server ether as you will be blocked.

So then do all the same rules/regulations apply to taiwan?

Or is there slight differences?

no twain is like hong kong more or less and most of the time when you see a chinese ps3 game or 360 game its usually coming from Twian or hong kong. If there are main land china games released then there probably no way we can even find out anyway. Even if you could read chinese and do a chinese search all your going to do is find a bunch of twian and hong kong sites anyway. Also it would be verry hard to impossible to import any of the crap out of main land china anyway. Also so you know most asian editions are not even in chinese there in english or Japanese most of the time doing nothing but changing the region code on the disk removing the rating logo on the disk may or may not add a hong kong/twian rating logo. some times they do nothing and you can order a so called asian edition of a game and only thing that is changed is the region code on the disk the art work could even bare an eu rating logo or a north american rating logo. Some asian editions for example like intial d on ps3 will also have features actually taking out of the game but not even bother to translate the game to chinese. Also you do not have to worie ether 60% of the time they do not even put a region code on asian edition games anyway so say you get an asian edition game there all 100% garanteed to work on a Japanese system and about 75% of the time they will work on both a pal and ntsc system as well or you will get some strange crap were it works on pal system a but not a ntsc system or vis versa.

Damn geralds, you're thorough. Awesome! Also that's an interesting bit of trivia about China. You learn something everyday though I guess I shouldn't be surprised what with the Dictatorship and all. Thanks again.
