Feels like a bad decision from P1 to let down sideshow. Hell, shipping on Bloodborne elieen from P1 is 400 ish.

I doubt it's bad for P1. It's just bad for US customers and everyone getting their stuff from SS. Don't you have a reseller in CA that doesn't use SS as a distributor?

I would recommend not Pre-Ordering the piece, unless you absolutely want it. It's not going to sell out. Only very few pieces of P1 sell out before they release. On the other hand, if you want to see the line continue, Pre-Ordering is the way to go.

Nope. The only ones I know are Toysquare, Imagination Hobby and Toytards vancouver and they all go through Sideshow.

It's bad for P1 if poeple don't buy because it's too expensive. They'll be stuck with this stock they'll take years to sell, or they will have to lower edition sizes. Which means higher production costs.

I am not sure sure how much they make on statues sold through sideshow. Probably much less than direct from their store.
If they want to switch to P1 store only sales then they should at least lower their prices to compensate for shipping.

And I really wanted it. Before I saw the price. I guess I will wait a couple of months and see after that.

If I were a huge SotC fan I would get it as well.
Personally, I have my wallet charged up for Prime 1s upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake line and I also may stray a bit into their DMC5/Resi 2/Persona 5 lines.
The price seems steep, but the piece is also pretty big. Hope you will enjoy it!

If it makes anyone feel better: Berserk fans have it even thougher. Their new apostle Zodd Statue cost 2,6k$ + 500$(eco, US only) - 1200$ shipping to the US/EU.

Jeebuz! Yeah, I'm glad I'm not a Berserk fan. I was comparing The Witcher statues to SotC and those seem to be far better detail.

I mean, c'mon, look at this!




I understand it's a small version of him but I hope they add a little more detail to the face of who is the main protagonist.

Honestly, I'm not sure if it's possible to make him look better. Their website states that the exclusive horse of the hero is just 5,3cm (2") in height and it even has a small base. So the protagonist should be even smaller. Like 4cm or something.
Not sure how well one could produce such small pieces. Seems amazing to me that he even looks as "good" as he does at that size.

I agree. I'm just being nitpicky. Just trying to compare him to other statues P1 makes and trying to "justify" a slightly lower price for the quality. I believe P1 are one of the most prolific statue makers in the biz for consumers.
