No, due to shipping damage possibilities all spikes are removable in both versions. I at first was worried because I liked the idea of a single unit, but after watching the video and hearing the distinct "clunk" when the magnets are put in place, I'm glad they did it that way. Personal preference I guess, but the paint job likely came out much better this way as well.

Just an update regarding the mass-produced F4F PVC Link from BotW, looks like retailers all around the globe are starting to list it. Some in AUS, Japan, and U.K. have already been posted on their collectors club. Alex said that US retailers should be posting theirs sometime soon. I'll probably wait til it's cheap, but just want to give the heads up to everyone here. I'll post links when they're available.

I assume this will be eligible for rewards points directly from F4F though, so would pay to purchase from them!

No, they're not selling it from their site they said. This is part of their attempt to get their name out there, and so they're dealing strictly with retailers on this one. Since its not limited in production, that was why I was saying I'll just wait (sure it'll take up space on a shelf somewhere and get discounted like the Together+ ones that F4F had to license from Skyward Sword). Only downside is I don't really want F4F to lose money or have their first attempt be less-than-profitable, but guess we'll see how it goes. But yeah, I was thinking the same thing regarding the reward points!
