It's easier to preorder the skull edition from amazon, (even if you cancel it later)...I did it this way...no need to be UBI.

But at the moment the amazon email confirmation comes inbox, in the same moment another one comes with the code from UBI.

You register that code with your mail, and the follow some instructions, and you will have full access to the watch.

Fast and smooth...you register, you cancel the order. Job done...

I saw you many pages ago how I did it, and the downloadable map they gave you for entering the watch.

Ye.. But that is the answer I got

Then hope it will be more than just a code, a kind of pre-order bonus

Will I have preorder it from Ubishop because it is the Black Chest edition I want.. And if I get a code from there I see no reason to do that

It doesn't matter couse the mail for registering, is after you put the code.

So there should be no worries...you are in the watch with your mail... The code really means nothing at all...

This are the steps for some people afraid of loosing content or whatever...

So, did anyone who isn't from Australia get charged upfront when paying by card?

I know you're asking people who aren't from Australia but...

I did get charged upfront but then when i checked my credit card account today I noticed that the payment had dropped off. So they do charge your account as a way of verifying the account is valid and you have the money, but then after a couple days the charge will disappear and the money becomes available again. They will then charge you the amount when it ships.

I did was a bit pissed of with it all my first order got lost and they had no info on it as I got it from the UK when I put order in but the money was taken out of my account. I did it again from AUS site and it went through and the money was taken from my account so now I had paid for it twice. Tey say the mone is not taken but it is what they do and it is not them but the broker company or what ever they call them selfs this is what happens is they but the money on something called Authorization hold? in other words the company takes the money and holds it for them that is how they get around saying they don't charge. Now I got back to them as I wanted to get my money back this is what I wrote to them:

Hi, I reordered the item and the order went through now on your site you say:

‘’When will my credit card be charged?
For purchases of downloaded products, your credit card will be charged the day after your order is placed.
For purchases of physical products, you won't be billed until your product is shipped. This includes any preordered or backordered products. If your items are shipped separately you will be billed each time a product is shipped.’’

What is this? What is an Authorization hold? ''The Authorization Hold for that order has been reversed'' as stated by Thomas on the 4th So this means that I have been charged for the item the money has been taken from my account when you state my card is not charged till the item is shipped.

I have been charged a total of $379.90 and those funds have been taken out of my account I now know longer have access to that money if you policy is to take the total I would of paid by PayPal as I need the funds right now I would like to cancel my order and have the full amount of $379.90 paid back to my account.

If you take the money out of accounts or have the funds in this Authorization hold when you pay by card then state this on your site, as this is just misleading.

I will be writing to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to bring the conduct of this matter to their attention if the matter is not sorted in a timely fashion.

Thank you

They got back to me very quick and told me that my money would be back in my account in a few days it took about a week to get back to me all good now. Your bank account will have the full amount held and it will show up every day as that until the item is sent. If they just said that on ther site or just take a deposit then people can make a better decision as to what to do as we do have bills to pay.

All this has done for me is I'm putting a lot into the PS4 and i have not no idea what the thing looks like (if any thing like the super slim not good) or how much it will cost and with high speed internet getting here in Australia in 2021 this instant game feature on the PS4 that is one thing I can not use, first cross on my box.

So for now I'm just going to save as much as I can till I have a better idea as to what is going on in fact i did not get a Fat PS3 until 2009 and even then it came free with TV then got YLOD two years later crap.

So when the light is not on you are just in the dark.

The authorization hold isn't always down to the company you pre order from, it is usually your bank who does it. Some people can pre order and not have the authorization hold happen, depending on which bank they're with. The funds don't stay held until release, they are what's called "ring-fenced" for usually a week, and then the hold drops off and your funds become available again xx

Well if that is what happens then so be it but I would like to know that that's my point. So if the money has been released after you have ordered by card let us know.

I'm actually blacklisted from ordering from Ubishop, so I can't say anything, but I know that that is what happens when an authorization hold is in place, as I've had it happen to me from many different stores before. Even GAME in the UK does it, but theirs luckily only holds a pound or so xx

Someones been a naughty girl
I have kept upto date with this thread, read all comments about payment, how they take money etc & came to a conclusion. It seems to me that the most simplest & easiest thing to do is just pay for the bloody thing now. If you have the money for it now,why not just pay for it now. I would really hate to order something & then when the time comes find i have no money spare for it,that would be a major bummer. Would it not be best to simply just pay for it outright now than either try to remember to keep some money aside near release or realise near release your in the red & cant get it anymore.
