Hello folks.
![]() I recently bought McFarlane's Edward Kenway resin statue (coloured one). I bought it on eBay. The statue was brand new and in it's original (McFarlane's) shipping box/packaging. Upon assembling of the statue I noticed that Edward is leaning forward (the position of his cape, which is different from the one on the statues I can find on internet, doesn't allow me to slide Edward's legs completely into the holes). I'm providing the pictures, so you can see it for yourself. ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see on the first picture, Edward is leaning forward. The reason for that can be seen on the second and third picture. Left tail of his brown cape goes under the right tail of his blue coat (second picture) causing the contact between the cape's tail and the water (third picture). Ultimately, this contact doesn't allow me to slide Edward's legs completely into the base holes. I contacted McFarlane Store Customer Service asking them whether my statue of Edward is a defective one, but they weren't very cooperative. For some reason they thought that I want a refund or replacement (although I didn't ask for any of that because I have no right to) and told me to work things out with a 3rd party I bought the statue from. When I told them that a 3rd party was not the one who made the statue and therefore cannot be responsible for any production errors or glitches, they cut off all communication. Does anyone else have this problem? Did anyone at least hear of it? ps. Serial number of the statue is 348. Last edited by comatose_vigil; 02-03-2016 at 05:24 PM. |

That's a strange one - I've not personally heard of it before but makes me want to check mine out again as its not assembled at the moment....
Have you checked carefully to make sure the water has never broken and been glued back in place? I know of a couple of these that got broken on original shipping ![]()

Water is fine.
It is the position of cape (which hasn't been broken either) that's causing troubles. |

I like to interpret it that way too.

I feel the same way as you when it comes to "defects." I do my very best to justify it, but I always have the thought lingering in the back of my head.
