It works out at about £355 GBP delivered and after taxes. Too expensive for me.

Yeah but $90 of that is customs charges, they pre pay it incase it gets hit at customs, but in my experience, if it doesn't get charged at customs, they refund you that money (did it with both the MK editions for me). Wee tip, to avoid it getting customs charges, make it a gift order, that way they don't print the price on the packing slip. Of course, there is the chance that your item is one that is randomly picked at customs, then they estimate what the item is worth, then charge the amount that they would charge for that price xx

Interesting information, Might change my mind then.

I will wait to see if there is going to be PAL version first.

I'm only doing it as I want an NTSC console anyway was going to do it with the gears one, but I'll just get the PAL gears one at some point as I won't really have the money for another xbox in September anyway, so thank God this is a December release xx

I just came on here to post about this, but then I realised we'd already discussed it

Kotaku / Gizmodo have just given a heads-up (in the form of a psuedo-documentary of the development process) of a Limited Edition Star Wars R2-D2 X360 Slim console, due out towards the end of the year to coincide with the release of Kinect: Star Wars

http://kotaku.com/5823488/exclusive-...-wars-xbox-360

The console is, as you would expect, predominantly white with blue and silver detailing. There are numerous easter eggs printed on the console, and the console itself even makes R2-D2 noises when you open and close the disc drawer!

It also comes with a plain white Kinect (the first example of a white Kinect), as well as an exclusive C-3PO styled controller, in a retor gold colour and coloured detailing to represent the different parts of C-3PO. It is also the newer design controller with the twisty D-pad!

No word yet whether this will be available outside of North America (they'd be stupid not to release this in Europe), but it's rumoured to retail at $450 when it drops in November and will come with a 320Gb HDD!

Here are a few choice pictures (as featured on Kotaku / Gizmodo):
