i just called them again, they told me we are all getting new boxes, they are just printing them now because they didnt have any extras. i told the guy they should have just told us that so we didnt think they were trying to forget about it.

i am a sealed collector. a new box is UNACCEPTABLE to me..that would mean i would have to remove the seal sticker ....down the road..people will be looking for mint condition brand new factory SEALED collectors edition..not one, that was opened up..it won't hold value, if it's opened and sorted around and repackaged, compared to the customer that received a brand new sealed one in mint condition...i am not a reseller..but i like the confidence knowing franchises like these hold value...especially when you pay full price...but a "re seal"..will NEVER be worth the same.

Square finally got back to me this afternoon, exactly three weeks to the day since I contacted them and all they offered was a replacement box shipped flat. I told them that I expect a full replacement. They haven't responded yet, but I suspect they will claim they have no replacement stock despite the fact that I notified them of the problem before they even had their launch event where they sold many copies of the CE. Totally infuriating and poor response from a company that should know better.

i am a sealed collector,..i expect a full replacement as well, as i had received one heavily damaged as well..they sent me an intitial response saying "they can't guarantee the outcome will be the one that i requested".all i said, was send me a prepaid return ship label so i can send the damaged one back for a full refund..so.what does that intitial response mean?...i'll just contact my CC and BBB.org to straighten this out..first they used the word "replacement" after i sent them pics of my damaged package..and now there going to backtrack on that?...to just a plain flattened box...i wont accept that resolution.
