I NEVER use any DLC if the code is hidden behind a leaflet or behind a grey "bar". I keep them mint. And I collect rare unused DLC cards (such as Lost Odyssey, Too Human, The Last Remnant...)
I ALWAYS use them if the code is already visible on the card (what would be the point of not using these ones?!). I purchase games to and collectors editions to enjoy the game and contents included in the package. Which means displaying contents outside of the box and using DLC if it benefits me. For example, Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest had special costumes which I wanted to use contrary to that Dark Souls had a digital guide, but I had the physical guide so that one is unused because I had absolutely no use for it.
