Bad news. The American CE doesn't look that nice... It looks horrible lol. Mine came in today and I am planning on returning it and getting the Japan premium edition. After seeing the Europe one, which contains identical items, I thought the American one would be the same. Nope. The American one looks terrible compared to the Europe box. We don't get the Japanese box art that the Europe CE box gets. I thought it was strange unlike many prior CE, they decided not to show this one at all before release.

Obviously this is a preferential thing, but I hate the CE box art and it being horizontal instead of vertical. You can also tell the cheaped out on the box design too compared to Europe. Lastly, just a gripe about every single CE box we get over here: Stop putting the white/blue ps5/ps4 bar across the top. It makes it looks even worse lol. Europe and Japan simply write the console name and thats it. No bar at all. Such a small thing makes it look much more premium.

Sorry you are not happy with it - I also had ordered but canceled mine when I saw the US version was missing some digital content. I ended up importing the PS5 European Collector’s and the English Asia Hootle edition. Still waiting on them to arrive but hopefully they get here in one piece. I haven't seen the US version either is it really funky?

Here is a image from the front of the box:

Yeah, just pretty disappointed after seeing the vertical Europe edition and how nice it looks. This box seems pretty disappointing in comparison.

Eh, I agree with you that the box design is not great, not sure why they didn't go with at least the same box shape as that looks more like a game system packing box. Especially since the Berseria Collector's was pretty similar across regions.

At least it isn't as bad as the Nier Automata Black Box where the US edition looked like they forgot to finish it vs the Euro or Japanese release which was so much better.

I cant understand why they do this.
Wouldnt it be easier to be the same design for every region?

So, is like the resident evil remakes boxes? Where the US ones look really cheap versus the European one?
