Re: Online Bethesada store opens!
Looks cool. Might grab one at a later date. It's a little too expensive for the edition size as stated above.
If we were to purchase this would it be shipped as a book on the customs declaration though? This makes a difference as books are tax exempt in the UK.

I don't even know why they bothered numbering it. Those numbered editions with ridiculous numbers like 10,000 are so silly to me.

Re: Online Bethesada store opens!
well, for actual video games it makes sense to see 10-30k. Otherwise each country would only get around 500 CE each

Re: Online Bethesada store opens!
Man, tough crowd today.
It _should_ be declared as a book, yes. I got a very definitive and heated confirmation from our guy that's been redoing the shipping data/rules and hounding the warehouse about things like this. But evil is inherent in the system, so I don't want to actually promise anything. He assures me that it going out wrong will be a fluke event and not some unforeseen systemic failure though. |

Really interested in this, though I'd like to see some actual photos of the item. I would hope it's like the Dragon Age Thedus book though at only $40 I doubt it would be nearly as extravagant. |

Re: Online Bethesada store opens!
It's really impressive in person. I get that 10k is a lot, but it was the only quantity that allowed us to get the price to something approaching reasonable (and there are a lot fewer of them than the Loot Crate or loads of other desirable collectibles). The three books all look and feel very different, and each of them is neat all on their own. And the clamshell is meaty and nice like the Dragon Age one (and that map on the cover really makes it pop when it's open).
Keep in mind, we also had to pay for all the text to be written and all the illustrations to be created; every other book we've had is something that's been done in massive quantities and we'll just take that content and bind it in something a little nicer or more special. Anyway, this is a lot more than we've ever done before and I think it shows when you're actually in front of it (though the pictures of it turned out killer, I thought).... I hope you dig it enough to give it a shot because there's a lot to like about it. Yeah, we haven't gotten our hands on a real one yet, but it's going to be your standard (but nice) hardcover art book plus that extra signed insert. |

Re: Online Bethesada store opens!
10,000 copies notwithstanding, the package sure does look might impressive; and in all likelihood I'll end up getting one. So while I poo poo the edition size, I think you all have a real winner.

Re: Online Bethesada store opens!
Will there be a standard copy of the books? I think that would make a huge difference on whether these sell fast.
