Yeah, I can support that. It is getting to the point we are pixel hunting. We should keep steelbooks with different wordings like Final Fantasy 7, Marvel vs Capcom 3 and etc.

And yeah, Avengers steelbook is a bit different

It is a little bit difficult because one seems to be sealed. It's not a fair comparison (for NFS)

Avengers has a great difference in tones. More than I have seen with other examples (TLOU etc).

Yeah wording is something else. I would say a small difference like a trademark mark (Death Stranding) is also questionable but I am ok with that for now since there are very few examples of those.

Another thing that is ok to keep is embossed vs not embossed versions (days gone)

Yeah, everything else stays. Smaller Colors difference needs to go.

These color variations seems to happen more often indeed nowadays. What you're telling sounds like a logic, yet unprofessional(from their side), reason.

For me there is a difference between matt/gloss finish like in the Witcher 3 and these vague color variations. For both I see no reason to delete them from the database though, why would we? The more info we have the better, just give them a distinction like smaller font size or italic with a small note.

To prevent mass discussions from users about color variations in the future maybe its an idea to announce that when somebody has 2 physical copies from different regions and spots a difference a short post (without proof) is enough and a note can be added to the database.

The reason we are saying these should be deleted is because if we keep tracking the color variations explicitly, going forward we are going to end up putting most of the steelbooks on the list twice. The list will grow exponentially and will become very difficult to navigate and maintain. In my opinion the list stops making sense if in a few years there are 10,000 entries and 5,000 of them are dublicates.

There is a different thread for this discussion if you want to join in on that. I think the consensus so far is to put a disclaimer at the top saying there may be slight differences in shade
