I just started collecting 3DS systems as well..i have 1 Wal-Mart "exclusive" for US Mickey Mouse edition, 1 Yoshi edition, 1 Japan Luigi edition, and 2 Japan Persona Q editions..i am little nervous because I am a sealed collector and I was told since these contain lithium ion batteries, that eventually over time..these batteries will begin to corrode and LEAK.how many modern handheld collectors are worried about this as well?

I'm not aware of that. But as a sealed collector, I don't think you should worry about that, because you'll never open the original packaging :-)

Unless of course the leaked battery acid opens the packaging for you.

I don't collect sealed systems, just sealed games. I have a couple handhelds in my collection I don't intend to actually play with anymore, and I removed the batteries from them. I just keep the batteries separate, so I do still have them, the package is still "complete," but when the batteries inevitably start to leak they won't ruin the hardware or anything else.

does anybody know if the Mario white edition 3ds xl with US operating system that is being released next month in ASIA will come to the US as well?
