Default Resident Evil Anniversary Package

Full Game Name: Resident Evil
Edition Name: Anniversary Package
Platform(s): PS3
Region(s): japan
Publisher: capcom
Release Date: March 22, 2013
Price (RRP): 8,990 yen (?64)

Bundling together a combined total of seven Resi games in digital and physical forms, it will launch on March 22, 2013 to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the release of the original entry in the survival horror series.

Priced at a very reasonable 8,990 yen (?64), it's unfortunately a Japan-only release - Capcom told us this afternoon that it has no plans to launch the product outside of its home market.

The Resident Evil Anniversary Package will include physical copies of:

Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition
Resident Evil Revival Selection (Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica X)

And download codes for:

Resident Evil 3 Last Escape
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil: Director's Cut

Cool package but what's so special about a 17th anniversary?

I mean I guess 6 is out now so capcom must release a Japanese only anthology edition?

Cool, but i can't say this is really quite a great edition, it would've been more interesting if the older Resident Evil games were not just downloads, and i don't know but the package looks terrible.

I don't get Capcom. First releasing multiple revision on the same game SFIV>SSFIV>SSFIV Arcade Edition. Next they place locked DLC on disc and make you purchase them individually. Now this. Seems like they want to milk every franchise.

I think you can see Super Street Fighter IV - Arcade Edition more as a expansion, since it came out as DLC for Super Street Fighter IV. With the SNES the exact same thing happened though. So especially with the Street Fighter series it has been always quite like that.

But do agree on me, the 25th Anniversary Edition from Street Fighter is actually quite amazing, but releasing this new Resident Evil collection seems just so pointless because they just released not a while ago the 15th anniversary edition.
