Default Xbox One Game Cases Must be G2?

So as predicted X1 game cases appear to be G2 sized thus steelbooks for X1 games should be G2 as well

Granted I don't care much for the X1 thus far but who knows? May still get it if things change

Anyways why I'm pretty damn sure it's G2:

MS released cover art for Quantum Break today

They've released previous cover art for X1 but not from this direct view before

Hence the ratio between sides on this image is roughly 1.29 (cropped to just the game case of course)

The ratio of sides on a G1 case is 1.41 whereas it's 1.256 on a G2 Case

Safe to assume there was some error when I calculated the ratio of sides on the quantum break case but it still must be a G2 case

Basically all Xbox One game cases/steelbooks will be G2

I think I can hear kian swearing from here

it's hard to say, because I'm guessing they probably want their box sizes to be different from Sony's....

Xbox cases were the same dimensions as PS2 so I don't see what the big deal is

And seeing how G1 and G2 refer to the generation of the media encased in these cases it seems fairly obvious that X1 cases should be blu-ray/G2 sized

also the ratio of sides should really speak for itself

The officially released image for quantum breaks cover art is indeed G2 sized

would be nice if everything's g2 though, its easier to store and arrange , as far as gamers with both consoles are concerned....

Yeah that's true plus for whatever reason I find the size to look nicer to me, G1 steels always look a bit ungainly

I also pointed out on another thread a few days ago that the top bar on the box looks as though it is the "bluray" plastic bar at the top of a bluray case (rather than a strip at the top of the game art). So this time, instead of a blue bluray case, it will be green, and instead of the embossed plastic "Blu Ray" logo, it will be the Xbox One logo xx
