Based on posts from Neogaf, this is probably not the premium-G sound edition and is something that is exclusive to HK from the looks of it.

And I hope no one minds me plugging, but I've been trying to find places selling it beside play-asia (pre order sell out) or ebay ($120, aka nice markup).
The price I found was on a HK site that doesn't take paypal and def don't think it does international ship.

So if anyone has any ideas, give me a PM or post about it.

Not to be rude but that's not a steelbook, it's just some random generic metal case. I'm not even sure that's a metalpak

Where's Lemur when you need him to identify random metal cases?

You could check this thread to see if anyone is willing to forward from HK

I can't remember anyone who would fit that description though

Nah, you are right, I just haven't rly been steelbook collecting for a while and didn't think too much about it. (I think even the translation is like metal tin edition lol). I'll try calling it steel case edition or something so that people don't mistake it for steelbook but recognize that it's not just a large tin container but an actual case for storing the game etc.

As a note, I'm not the type to be offended if I make a mistake and I'm called out for it. Pointing it out gives me a chance to correct the information so that it's accurate for the others that will use this information to make informed decisions.

No worries. I just pointed it out to help people correct their expectations. There's nothing wrong with wanting that edition with or without it being a steelbook, as you said it's better to have correct info is all.

Yeah it's hard to refer to a non-steelbook edition. Maybe metal game case edition? lol

That is a futurepak if I'm not wrong. And it's not a new brand, it's just a change of the metalpak name. Different name same crap

lol guessing they changed names because of the US lawsuit that forbade metalpaks to be sold in the US? Or was that starpaks? It gets confusing

Here you go guys,

"FUTUREPAK"

some details in the video if you click on it

A futurepak(TM) is "a premium star metalpak."

not sure if the gundam one is really a futurepak, but sure does look like one, and it seems limited to Hong Kong/Asia only (Not Japan) . Does look official though.

hope that's helpful......

I just received mine in the mail..honestly this thing is awesome and recommended for collectors..its a nice G2 size and the colors are vibrant and a real slick looking G2 package..i would suggest to pick one up in a heartbeat...steelbook or not, it is high quality and looks sharp and a lot nicer in real life than pics..GO FOR IT!!! I'm glad I did!
