Default How To Care For "odd-sized" Game Boxes?

So, for years I've used the plastic boxes to secure retro console games like so,

but I've now got a bunch of odd-sized boxes such as the LOZ OoT "Ocarina" Edition or the Skyward Sword Wii Bundle or the Game.Uk "A Link Between Worlds" CE that I'd like to keep mint

and I'm just wondering if there are any collectors out there who might have a similar solution to boxing these for display in a manner that doesn't cause you to worry about the boxes getting destroyed?

If there's a particular brand/item you use, or a signature method for securing these items in *MINT* condition, please share or link here. Many thanks in advance!

I ran into a similar problem with some PC big boxes and press kits

I've found something like these might work

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350992245273...84.m1439.l2649

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221229384360...84.m1439.l2649

It's a little hard to figure out what will box shaped items will actually fit into what size so it usually does well to get multiple different sizes

I would actually recommend getting ones larger than 10" by 13" or at least wider than 10"

Thanks for that Swift. I've seen those but I'm really trying to avoid the whole bag thing as I'd like to stick with the boxes for a crisper display (in my opinion). I may have to resort to that though so I thank you for the link. Still hoping someone out there knows another solution though...

I reached out to 2 different sites that have made box protectors in the past and asked them if they'd do designs by request (unfortunately I'd only need 1 of each size or so I'd imagine, so if they come back to me maybe I can sell extras on here or something if we get a small enough run size).

I understand. I would much prefer having boxes myself but the only way to really get one off sizes of box protectors is getting custom made acrylic or something like that. It's very expensive but good for very rare and expensive items

I am curious if perhaps it would be worth getting sheets of the plastic used to make those box protectors and making our own custom sizes?

Hmmm... I'm not sure what all is involved in the process and what sort of machinery might be required to create the creases/folds/etc. in the right places - if someone on here knows how to do this from their work or something they could probably make some good money if they had the machinery already. You make a good point though, if some other company out there isn't willing to due to economies of scale, it might be something we can "DIY". --> To the Google!

I think the only solution present right now, is to have custom made acrylic cases. they do cost a small fortune.

Haha yeah that box was pretty much hollow inside. :/

At least it came with a separate poster in a massive tube rather than it folded down to fit in the box, that'll be awful.

I just keep a lot of cardboard boxes from my various deliveries at work, some are crappy but some boxes are super sturdy.

I was lucky with Between Worlds boxset. Went to collect it from GAME a month after launch, someone didn't claim it so it was mine. Da da da daaaaaaaaa!
