Well, the good thing at least is that it doesn't seem to be limited, so everyone should have an opportunity to snag one.

Yeah, that's a good thing about this edition. And there's much time left before it will be released. So maybe they announce this edition in other regions.

Well, they've announced the European Collector's and Nightmare Editions. I just hope that at least one steelbook won't have the PS4 logo on the front and spine. Any brand logos ruin the overall look for me but it seems the EU ones will have those.
I hope the US ones will stay clean, as that was the case with Beyond: Two Souls and GoW: Ascencion where the EU versions had PS3 logos and NA versions didn't.

The picture of the NA CE just changed on Amazon and Best Buy, the steelbook became white like the EU one.

The photo changed but the US version still doesn't have the PS4 logo on the front or spine so I'm getting that one. Besides, even with international shipping and import tax, it still turns out cheaper than the European Collector's Edition.
