Default Poor packaging resulting in damaged CE items

Hello

This must be the 30th time now that I've received something like this. Let me know how acceptable you think it is.

This came from the UK to Australia:

It's the Majora's Mask CE that was to sit on a shelf without being opened. The game box inside is dented, creased and the top flap is completely folded.

It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't a collectors item, but it is and I'm sick of it. My opinion is that if they're going to send it internationally, they should ensure it will arrive safely. I've had the Baldurs Gate II CE, The Witcher 1 CE, FO:NV CE etc - all MUCH larger items - all shipped in from overseas and they've arrived in boxes strong enough to withstand the trip. I think this is unacceptable.

What do you do in situations like these? This is a $100 collectors item. A few more dollars spent on a sturdier box/padding could have avoided this.

Did you just ask for another box, or replacement?

Just the box was damaged and I was fine with them just sending another box.

send GAME customer service pictures of the damage and they may send you a replacement or a prepaid shipping label to return for refund..they have done for me in the past, when receiving damaged items from the UK to the US..but be careful..my account was "banned" afterwards. but i was able to quickly set up a new one.

You were banned for reporting damage to them?

they told me to send it back, and once they receive it, they will compensate me for the return shipping costs...they asked for me to return tracked and insured out of my pocket, but said once they receive it..i will be paid shipping credit as well..but that never happened..instead i did get a refund-minus return shipping costs..but then mysteriously my account stopped working..but i did make a new one...this happened to me twice..first time..i bought AC Revelations collectors edition, which arrived in a flimsy box with zero protection all beat up...then next time, a steelbook edition game sent in a jiffy bag which arrived dented...AC Revelations got my account banned on....the steelbook game they gave me a refund after i filled out some Post Office sworn statement type of thing form that they sent me to mail back.

Did you order from Game.co.uk? If you did, I don't think you'll have any luck for exchange or return... I had same experience with a steelbook edition of a game, which was worth ~$80 when it was released. It arrived bent with dent... I contacted Game's customer service, they told me they've issued me a £5 gift card as goodwill...

GAME sent me the Halo: MCC special edition in a bubble mailer. It was squished. And now it has been 40 days since I ordered an item and it has not shown up. 5 more days and I can get my money back. So ridiculous.
