Cool Introducing DaTraS - yet another German Collector

Hey there guys!

As I promised in the yesterday's WTB-Forums, I'm now gonna introduce myself correctly!

Hi there, my name is Danny (nicked DaTraS) and I am a 28 year old collector from Germany!

I'm all into collecting PC games - currently my library is counting 167 PC Games overall - and mostly if available Collectors Edition

The thing I'm currently looking for is the Witcher series, as I started only recently with the franchise - and I'm lovin it!

So I am mostly into any kind of RPG, but sometimes even shooters or simulations make it into my kingdom - though my eye-to-hand-coordination is not the best ^^"

So now, I'm gonna show you my beloved collection.
But please don't judge my cleanliness from the pictures, as I am only home for 2 days a week since 6 years (work and stuff)... And yeah - gotta clean up now

So! Here we go!

Oh... And of course this:

So I am currently only missing this:

That's it! Comments or suggestions are warmly welcome (except how to clean up )

So long!!!

Danny
(DaTraS)

Hi Danny and welcome to the forums! You've got a fantastic collection! I really like how you've got several of the Risen CEs, those things are pretty sweet and I'm still hunting for the Keg edition for the 360! Thanks for sharing! I'll try and keep an eye out for you for that Witcher CE as well, though I don't frequent the German sites all that often!

I look forward to seeing the collection grow and all you've got to contribute to the community here!

Awesome collection! I wish you luck in finding Witcher 2!

A question that is a little off topic though, why titan X's with RAM that can't fully support them?

Hi there, would be great if you could keep an eye open - the more the merrier! As I am only collecting for my own platform (PC), I am not able to get my hands on such a beauty like the keg =)

I will post updates as soon as I have something new (incoming TW3)

Hey there - I can't follow you? Why should my RAM not be able to support my two Titan X? Because it's working in a multi-gpu-setup, I don't have addative 24GB VRAM but just 12GB, as every card's vram got the same informations! Or i totally misunderstood you

Hell yeah, but I am running in my limits by now. I don't know where to present the coming Witcher 3 collectors as there is simply no space left Guess I need an extra room

I am really happy that I've found a place with likeminded crazy bastards like me

Today, I thought that I've found the missing The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (German Collectors Edition) for 177 EUR at Amazon.de, but it turned out that it was only the Premium... Hell man, I'm going crazy.

But I currently don't have enough to buy the only one currently avaible worldwide (it seems) for 495 EUR... And, by all means, even for a Collectors that's way too much for this CE

Because the cards come with 12GB frame buffer, you should ideally have 24-48GB of system memory, due to the way Windows handles VRAM.

Basically, whenever the VRAM is full, Windows will swap the data onto the RAM, meaning that the 12GB VRAM on the card needs 12GB of system memory as swap space.

I see a lot of people SLIing these, with 12/16 gigs and RAM, and it basically just bottlenecks them, IF it ever happens that you need the RAM.

Was just curious as to why you'd have SLI titan X's with 16 DDR3.

Hey there, thanks for the explanation!
This was something I didn't hear of before. But I will consider it when I'm going to change my CPU plattform.
I think on Skylake I'm going for 32GB RAM - should do the trink then.
