Xbox ???Crystal Orange Xbox Controller??? Assist in ID'ing

Hey y'all, brand new to the forums here. Lovely little niche you got going.

I joined up on these forums because I need help ID'ing and if possible, appraising the value of a controller I recently purchased in the wild.

The best description I can come up for it is Crystal Orange Xbox Live Controller S. I can't find very much info anywhere on the internet. The best information I can come up with is that it was only available to Xbox Live employees when the service originally launched 10 years ago. I would greatly appreciate any and all insight you all have. Images are linked in the description on imgur.

I took it to a brick and mortar video game shop and none of the associates in the store, nor the owner had an idea what to make of it. So the mystery continues. My guess as to why there is so little information: It is either a reproduction/forgery or it is so rare that little information exists.

i saw some youtube video where a person had that controller..it was a prototype color that was cancelled at the last minute...but there were a small number made as a sample batch..so those samples were handed out to employees internally in the xbox division of the company..and so i figure some employees either sold or traded in or got rid of theirs..they got them for free, so i guess they didn't bother too much with it, for those found in the wild..but yes..it almost became a production run..but was rejected by marketing so the first sample products runs went to the employees/discarded etc.

They are not the only Crystal orange thing they made. They may a special orange halo original xbox system as well the same reason made as a prototype reject and just given internatally. They might have a few other stuff they tested with this color other then that but know knows they could even made other colors we are unaware of.
