Issues with Play-Asia
I've been buying some of their exclusive limited editions but I ran into some issues with the latest one.
Instead of using bubble wrap they decided to overfill the box with packing peanuts and force it shut, obviously flattening the game box in the process. When I explained what happened (and provided photos) they "investigated" the situation and repeatedly blamed the shipping company for the damage, refusing to even consider that their packing people might have made a mistake. Is there anything I can do other than not buying from them again? |

Re: Issues with Play-Asia
How frustrating. >.< When did you order it? Demand that they replace it otherwise threaten to chargeback your payment card. Most credit cards will allow you to charge back within 90 days of a transaction.
Good luck.

Re: Issues with Play-Asia
This just happened so I would be within that chargeback period. Thanks for the suggestion, I had not considered it.

Re: Issues with Play-Asia
PA always ship my order in box with bubble wrapped, the box was also sturdy, never had any problem with them

I don't use PA much anymore unless I have no other choice.

Re: Issues with Play-Asia
I had the exact same problem with Dimension Drive Limited Edition for the Switch. It was the first package I have received from Play Asia containing Styrofoam peanuts instead of the bubble wrap they always use. The game box had creases on it.
After I received it I looked up their policy. It states that they don't offer replacements for minor damage such as this. I figured I could get another copy of the game when it goes on sale, but it appears it just sold out. I would be careful with the chargeback. You could be banned from ordering from them in the future. |

Re: Issues with Play-Asia
Sorry to see I wasn't the only one affected.
I noticed the policy but it obviously shouldn't apply when they are the ones that caused the damage in the first place. The "customer support" they provided when I complained was easily the worst I've seen in recent years - complete denial of any fault, even after being shown irrefutable proof. I ended up deciding against the chargeback just in case they release a must-have down the line, but I'm definitely not buying from them again if I can avoid it. |

Re: Issues with Play-Asia
I kind of figured their customer service would offer no help which is part of the reason I didn't bother contacting them. I cut back on my ordering from them as there are other places to get stuff from. They do have some nice exclusives though, which is the only games I will order from them.
