Default Slight color differences

Some of you may have seen the latest messages in G2 tread but I decided to put it separately.

There is a trend of more and more steelbooks having slight color differences between regions and as of now we suppose that it is because Scanvo factories cannot color coordinate.

Currently SBCollector lists them separately but that is becoming tedious. I offer three possible solutions:

Solution 1: Delete all such steelbooks from the list;
Solution 2: Create a separate list for such a steelbooks;
Solution 3: Add “(have regional color variant)” to steelbook name in the original list.

Personally I think the 3rd option is optimal.

Here are the steelbooks in question:

Marvel’s Avengers – Pre-Order Steelbook (EU) (PS4,XB1)
Marvel’s Avengers – Pre-Order Steelbook (NA) (PS4,XB1)

The Last of Us II Collector's Edition/Special Edition (EU) (PS4)
The Last of Us II Collector's Edition/Special Edition (NA) (PS4)

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Pre-Order Steelbook (EU) (PS4)
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Pre-Order Steelbook with or without game (Amazon/USA) (PS4)

Need for Speed Heat - Pre-Order Steelbook without game/Ultimate Edition without game (Amazon/GER) (PS4,XB1)
Need for Speed Heat - Pre-Order Steelbook without game/Ultimate Edition without game (NA) (PS4,XB1)

The Crew 2: Motor Edition (Ubisoft Store/EU,NA) (PC,PS4,XB1)
The Crew 2: Steelbook Gold Edition (Amazon,Ubisoft Store/NA) (PS4,XB1)

MLB The Show 15: 10th Anniversary Edition (Asia) (PS4)
MLB The Show 15: 10th Anniversary Edition (USA)
(PS4)

As I have stated in the G2 thread, my personal vote would be toward deleting them. They are being made in different factories nowadays and my hypothesis is that almost all steelbooks that see a release in both regions have small color variantions. The reason they aren't on this list right now are either 1) None of us have put the copies from both regions next to each other, or 2) the differences are small (like Torment Tides) and we simply haven't noticed.

It would be even more absurd if the two factories mismatched the color only on some steels. If this hypothesis is in fact correct, we are simply going to end up dublicating the list going forward which doesn't make sense.

If someone wants to collect both variants, they should purchase a copy from both regions for all applicable entries.

P.S.: I don't think Days Gone should be removed. One of them is embossed and the other isn't. That is a significantly larger difference than a matter of color

You right about Days Gone. Forgot about that.

Also think MLB differences are too great and we need to keep it too.

Yeah final fantasy 7 Remake had the same. I think deleting them would be best.
Put a disclaimer in the thread about the "issue" and everyone looking into the list seeing a certain steel was released in multiple regions can put 1 and 1 together.

Personally, i normally do not try to get Steelbooks because of small color variations.
I do have one or another, but just because i got them dirt cheap.

In regards to the question, i think
Solution 3: Add “(have regional color variant)” to steelbook name in the original list.

Is the best solution.
But again thats me, and i am not the one compelling the list, so...
