There was. It was one copy per purchase. Technically you could make multiple purchases but given how slow the site was, it wasn't very easy to do so. Some people tried to ship it to my house and said they got a warning saying account suspected or reselling would get their orders cancelled. So while not fool proof, it was one of the better mechanics I have seen lately.
It's just that the popularity of the game, a some what affordable price, combined with learned lessons for how much the remastered steelbooks goes for, it just sold out fast. I am seeing a lot of genuine people saying they got one on social media so I am guessing the scalper to fan ratio was a bit better for this one
