Sonic 20th Anniversary limited edition induction charger

That's right, this year marks the 20th Anniversary of Sonic and like Nintendo with their 25th year celebration of Mario. Sega is working with companies to produce limited edition products to celebrate.

The first is a limited Edition Sonic theme induction charger for the Nintendo Wii.

so far it's currently a US release with no word on if it will be released in other regions.

Retail price is $49.99, can be purchased from Amazon.com when in stock or from the gameshark store. Can't seem to find others who are stocking yet, difficult to check on stock from UK Google.

$50 for that? Ehh...

I'm sure other regions are not jelly if this is U.S. exclusive.

That's all for his 20th birthday? No special console, controller or games? I have the 10th anniversary which looks even nicer.

Yeah, last year's 25th Mario anniversary was a bit underwhelming. Sega needs to bring some real fireworks for Sonic's 20th! Perhaps they're just getting all of the lame items out first.

But if you're a hardcore Sonic fan, this may be of interest, due to the limited number of these items produced.
