Hi,

after a few months as a reader without an account I considered it to be the optimal time to register myself... sooo here I am, 29 years old (anno 2012), a doctoral student of political science and from Germany, playing videogames since I was 3 or 4 years old and collecting them nearly as long (at first without a focus on Collector Editions or the like).

EDIT: I’m still wishing for some kind of a Metroid C.E. in the shape of Samus Aran’s power suit helmet [like the Master Chief’s Helmet in the Halo 3 (Xbox 360) Legendary Edt.] or her gunship.

A comment on the current state of C.E.:
I hate the trend of labeling everything a C.E., even if it is nothing more than a steelbook and/or DLC-codes, e.g. the Uncharted 2 (PS3) Ltd. Edt. Collector's Box or the Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days (PC) Ltd. Edt..; I don’t like the general concept of making in-game content a DLC and the DLC an exclusive for (a) specific version(s) or pre-order deal exclusives etc. (gives me always the feeling I’m not buying a complete game, if I don’t buy the one version with all DLC or the same game from several shops to get every pre-order bonus DLC – no, I don’t do that)…

im(h)o a C.E. is all about real bonus items – e.g. props, bonus-DVDs/BRs (e.g. a making of), the olbigatory OST - and special packaging, like the one the Halo: Reach (Xbox 360) Legendary Edt. offers. And I absolutely like figures, statues etc..

So……… I hope my English wasn’t too bad.

EDIT: From now on (September 19th 2011) I'll keep my collection up to date in this first posting. :-)
