Default Ohhhh dear...

I need someone to tell me that 80 Euros for the Gears of War 2 lot was unfortunate

http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ht_1501wt_1139

...snif...all the time spend putting together the collection to go for a misery...the world is sooo unfair...

50 watchers in the last minute and that's all I got out...double snif...

Sorry I had to share my lament...

I know you're not happy, but someone else on this planet is and that's a nice thought isn't it?

I know things like this suck, and that's the main reason I never ever sell anything with a low start price.

Some time ago I had a complete lot with retro games, they eventually sold for 20 euro, had 15 people watch (I know that doesn't mean much though)

Why didn't you work with a reserve price?

OMG I missed this, though it ended tonight.

$80, what a price.

50 watchers and that's all you got, maybe they all though the same as me. I really need to keep an eye out on the auctions.

Thanks guy's...
I mean I asked opinions of the forum on how to proceed with the sell.
In the end Mr. is right, one....Bast...is surly enjoying the moment and probably still dancing around he's Ikea coffee table...
I learned my lesson yet again...I think it was because the auction was ending mid day...
But hey that's the rule...still need to send it though...maybe...mmmhhh...naaa fair play!!!

It's always hard to see something you spent a huge amount a time and effort collecting. Only to see it taken from your hands at a low price.

If it makes you feel any better, I have sold some items on ebay that went for considerbly less then it's worth. I still have no idea why.

I think you maybe right about the timing, I though it was in the evening. Which is likely why I missed it as I tend to check ebay when I get back from work.

My rules for selling on eBay:
1. Don't bundle stuff together unless you're willing to trade money for an easier sale
2. Always schedule your auctions to end at 8pm on pay-day
3. Always have the item listed for 5-7 days for maximum exposure
4. take lots of good pictures
5. put as many keywords as possible in the title, don't bother with crap that no one would ever use as a search term. Put the title in all caps.
6a. if your item is unique and desirable, start the bidding low with no reserve and no buy it now
6b. if your item is fairly common, check completed listings, start your bidding at the lowest selling price you see, and a buy it now at the highest selling price you see.

^that's pretty much what I do when selling anything.

I used to find that selling stuff right at the end of the month or at the start was the best as more people had the cash to spare. Problem is with the news scaring people about money all the time people are trying to go for bargains.

^Tell that to the people buying up all the Blu-Ray Steelbooks, some of them can't be touched for less than $60 which is plain ludicrous.
