Default Running Zelda Project

OK, my goal for this project is to have a full set of Zelda games, 1 copy of each release as close to original as possible and sealed, and to have them graded and preserved by VGA. Why VGA? Because I like numbers, shiny stickers, and I have money to blow thanks to the average American taxpayer. Although I'm not going to be outrageous with how much money I'm spending I don't really have that much.

SO to start of here's the list of games I will be going after:

1986 The Legend of Zelda NES- Currently working on this, It's a little hard to find a copy that isn't a classic series resale. The original has a hole cut in the box so you can see the gold cartridge which makes it very unique. 12/29/2011 Purchased off of Amazon $405.93 Original and sealed.

1987 The Adventure of Link NES- Working on this one as well, this might be harder to find an orignal version and not a classic series. 12/29/2011 Purchased off of Ebay $299.99 Original and Sealed, had a little poke on the front cover but it was the only non-classic series Ive seen for months.

1991 A Link to the Past SNES- Working on this one as well except most sealed versions out there seem to be Player's Choice and not the original. Might have to pay a good chunk of change.

1993 Link's Awakening GB- 12/29/2011Purchased off Ebay $179.99 Couldn't find anything but the player's choice, oh well.

1998 Ocarina of Time N64- Got it. Paid $182.98. Got the sealed collector's edition that comes with the gold cartridge.

1998 Link's Awakening DX GBC- 12/29/2011Purchased off Ebay 299.99$ OUCH! This one kind hurt my wallet just a little. But it was worth it for the condition it was in.

2000 Majora's Mask N64- 12/29/2011Purchased off Ebay $280 for the Collector's Edition, OH YEAH. This one was funny since someone tried to outbid me at the last minute and jacked the price up from 150 to 280. Got it sitting at home with me right now. It's in amazing condition.

2001 Oracle of Seasons and Ages GBC -12/29/2011 Bought both off Ebay already VGA graded for $480 . Seasons got 90 Gold and Ages got 85+ Gold. Well worth it.

2002 The Wind Waker GC- 12/29/2011 Bought off Ebay for $119. Got the original Black label not the player's choice.

2003 Ocarina of Time & Master Quest GCN- 12/29/2011 Bought off Amazon $74.50.

2003 Collector's Edition GCN- 12/29/2011 Bought off Ebay $125

2004 Four Swords Adventures GC

2004 Link to the Past & Four Swords GBA- Bought off Amazon $92.

2004 The Minish Cap GBA There's a white box and red box version. I believe white is the original and it has the nintendo seal on the front.

2004 Classic NES Series GBA - Legend of Zelda | LoZ II: Adventure of Link- 12/29/2011 Bought both off Amazon 92 for the first and 52 for the second.

2006 Twilight Princess Wii- 12/29/2011 Bought off Ebay $33.88. Got the original White Label with the red Nintendo brand in the corner.

2007 Phantom Hourglass DS Got it. Paid $30.

2007 Link's Crossbow Training Wii For this I'm wondering if I should get the zapper included or just the game. I think it'd be pretty funny to have a VGA graded Zapper and at least I would know the actual game is gem mint-ish. 12/29/2011 Decide to not get this, it's more of a spin off anyways. And if I were getting spin offs and cameo appearances I towuld be Smash Bros and Soul Calibur 2.

2009 Spirit Tracks DS Got it. Paid $21.

2011 Ocarina of Time 3D 3DS - Got it. Paid Retail. I got the UK special edition but i don't think VGA will grade an empty box...since they delayed those and sent them without games in the first place.

2011 Skyward Sword Wii - Got it. Paid Retail. Going to get the US collector's edition graded and preserved.

*Added GBA and GCN games Thanks*

Once I get home here in a few weeks I'll start sending these out for grading.

Pictures to come in the future!!! and more notes...

Small Update December 19, 2011: Sent out the games I have purchased already to be graded, should have them back in a month. Still haggling with that other guy on his collection, he wanted 800 for the first zelda

BIG UPDATES 12/29/2011

Good luck with the sealed NES ones...seen those go for $1000 easily
ALttP goes for probably half that sealed
FSA came as a standalone and as a big box bundle with the GBA-GCN connector cable. Neither one was limited as far as I know...
For Minish Cap I don't think there's an all-red or all-white box, or any version other than original. The original has a white front and red sides and back. I'm about 75% sure on that...I don't have it in front of me at the moment.
Crossbow Training is a tricky one. You know it doesn't come in a regular case, right? It comes in a paper sleeve like Wii Sports for example. For this I chose to keep the whole box, zapper and all, sealed. I also have one to play with
FS AE is an eShop download only...unless I'm terribly missing something...So how could it have a player's choice version?

Here's some other titles I didn't see on your list yet:
2002 Link to the Past & Four Swords GBA
2003 Ocarina of Time & Master Quest GCN
2003 Collector's Edition GCN
2004 Classic NES Series GBA - Legend of Zelda | LoZ II: Adventure of Link
2006 Twilight Princess GCN

I know of other more obscure titles too, if you're interested, but that's all the main ones for handhelds and consoles. If you're counting digital releases too, like FS AE, then make sure you check out the Shop Channel on Wii and the eShop on 3DS for Virtual Console titles (there are several). If you're counting spin-off titles like Crossbow Training, you could include Smash Bros (all three), Soulcalibur II for GCN, and the Tingle games (all three). And just for your reference, there are several Zelda-themed hardware releases as well: Gold N64 (and controllers), various Gamecube bundles, Gold Zelda Wiimote, Gold Gameboy Camera, Gold Zelda GBA SP, Gold Zelda DS Lite (beware imitations), Silver Zelda DS Lite (UK exclusive limited to 1000, be VERY wary of imitations), and a new Black Zelda 3DS comes out on Friday!

Hope this helps dude, and good luck. As I am also pretty much doing exactly what you outlined here I'll be keeping a close eye on your progress!

I'm only picking up the main line of games brought out on nintendo consoles, not really interested in spin offs or memorabilia.
