Default Regular vs CE/LE

So I was thinking with myself these days, in a couple of years, people gonna look after these CE/LE that we buy these days?
Like in retro games from PS1 and PS2, people only look after sealed copies of black label NTSC-U/PAL games.
So do you guys think it is worthy to invest in regular first press copies of games or these CE/LE?

Black label usually mean the original version of the game that came out not like Greatest hit of the year or etc.

It depends. You don't buy a collector's edition because it's a collector's edition, seeing how most CEs aren't really LIMITED. You buy it because you're a fan of the game/series or you like the extras that come with it.

Honestly, I think a CE is worth as much as you're willing to pay for it.

That's just me though.

Yeah I've got your point, some CE/LE these days have large press number and ain't gonna be a good investment for the future, but anyways, they all have lesser copies than the regular ones right?

I'd rather a CE/LE, I think the only reason why sealed/mint copies of retro games are the sought after ones is because there weren't really any CEs back then? Were there? xx

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but yesterday I was searching for a MGS1 copy and the sealed US black label was like the same price of that silver limited edition box, so I've asked myself about that

Adding on to what Warrior said, the Gold Premium Box for MGS1 (mint) is worth $1000+. Sealed, thousands. I think there were 1000 or 2000 made.

Side note, I have a sealed Japanese black label, if you're interested ^^

I think I've seen the wrong value for it haha, I'm not into the sealed thing but I'm glad about the offer (:

I wouldn't bother with the big franchise release. They tend to come up with Game of the year edition with all the DLC.
