Default Need some help from US ebay

Hi guys, I'm after some help buying a few game display boxes from ebay in the US. The problem i have is that the guy wants $45 to post them to the uk.
As they are all flattened down and are apparently the same as a cereal box, $45 seems a bit steep.
hope someone can help me,cheers

Err... you bought two display boxes from me, remember? It does indeed cost $40-45 to ship them because they are too large to ship via First Class Mail. Priority Mail ends up costing $40.85+.

I'm really sorry mate I should of explained better! They are smaller than the ones I bought from you. So they should be cheaper to post right?

No worries. Smaller huh? PS3 sized ones maybe? It all depends on the dimensions. I believe the maximum total dimensions for First Class Mail is 36". That includes height, width, and depth. Once the package goes over that total, it must be Priority Mail, which is why the price would be $45ish.

He may need to check his measurements; perhaps he's just assuming it will need to go Priority? Otherwise he may only ship Priority, since it comes with insurance up to a certain amount. First Class doesn't.

Surely if it cost that much, why not purchase from CGA direct.

CGA = collectable grading authority

They are the parent company of VGA which grade video games on scale of 100 depending on the condition.

CGA store sell plastic protectors for Video games as well as making custom size cases for many collectable items.

Here is a link: http://www.cgagrading.com/OnlineStore/

He's talking about advertizing boxes that you see in game stores. Apparently you don't see them often in the UK, but they're everywhere in the US. They're about 11.5" wide and 16" tall (assembled, not flattened) IIRC.
