Wow - that looks amazing, the casing itself would make this a day 1 buy for me.
The Collector's edition for Euro has been chnaged: -
There is no bookend or soft figure.
instead we get a steelbook release

Sony Euro has issued a statement stating that this edition will sell for the same price as the normal game. This was done because of the huge back lash from gamers about the sub quality collector's Edition campared the US version with bookends and soft toy.
The Hut.com have now listed the game , guess what. The price ISN'T the same. Lying good for nothings.
The price is £37.99 for the normal game and the Collector's edition is £54.99.
Yet again Euro get shafted and ripped off, £54.99 = $82 for nothing more than a steelbook and some pre-order bonus DLC which you can get with the normal edition. Atleast with other Steelbook releases they have been the same price as the normal version. This is currently the worst value edition so far and may even go on the list of Worst Collector's Edition simple on price alone.
So So disappointed.
That is pretty stupid.
But don't lament the Euro's - You guys get a lot of cool collectors editions we don't see in the North America.
i.e. - Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts : BBS, Crisis Core, Killzone 2, GT5 Signature, et cetera, et cetera.

My biggest issue however is the price difference for the same edition. If an Edition cost you $70 it will likely cost us £55-£65. a total rip off. It's not just the games it's the console aswell. Everything seems to more expensive and there's no relation to the exchange rate.
If the price was right I could live with missing some releases here but as we are paying a huge premium we should get the best possible release. Which is why this little big planet Steelbook is really annoying me. At £54.99 it's day light robbery compared the NTSC edition version which works out cheaper than our steelbook.
Yeah, not factoring in exchange rates is plain unfair. I've always assumed Euro's got higher quality CE's of games to compensate for the inflated prices, but this is obviously not the case for the LBP 2 collectors edition. Boo!
That sucks. I did preorder the LBP 2 CE. If you want a copy, let me know. I can also get another copy.

No doubt the price will drop closer to release when each retailer sets their own price. I honestly don't see GAME selling the SteelBook for over £50 when it's just a SteelBook with a few bits of DLC, and I presume HMV, PLAY.com, Amazon, ShopTo, and GAME will all lower their prices. I think The Hut is jumping the gun a bit, but I personally wouldn't buy from them or Zavvi anyway, and would rather buy from a retailer which isn't as dodgy
Hi Guys
GAME are currently listing this game at £44.99, £5 more than the noraml version.
However I can't find anyone else selling this, there's nothing not even a sold out image.
Is this a Game exclusive?
Also eamo22 Ireland limited edition is now available again.

Could you do me a favour and find me a press release or blog post from Sony which states that they promised it would cost the same as the regular edition - If I can find some citation, I will bring this up with my contacts at GAME
I wished I had put the source down,
I got this from the Playstation blog
