THE COLLECTOR'S ROOM
I tried to find back some pictures I took when I started collecting a year ago. I found this pic:

There are all the items I owned as of May 2016. So that's how I started collecting. With a couple of art books and some figures.
I always wanted to collect some gaming merch, but I could never really get into collecting until the past year.
The collection has grown a lot since then...and my bank account does not like it, but it is ok

Here is a quick look at how I display my stuff atm (august 2017).
The shelves are custom ones. I wanted to have a part to display the books, a part for the games and an other (the center) to display my figures and goodies from the main lines I collect (Elder Scrolls and Fallout especially).

Then Dark Souls stuff came in and I had to find some space for it. These wooden apple boxes do the job for now

And, no more space for my Assassin's Creed stuff, so I display these in the basement...

Sadly, no more space for all these art prints & lithographs. Still buying them because I know that if I miss on them, they will cost me at least 3x their original price in a year or two.

EDIT: Finally got an art portfolio to store the art prints! Thanks Mike for the tip

END OF EDIT

Actually, no more space for anything else...wondering, where am I going to put all this stuff I preordered...

October 2017 update
New setup in the new appartment:

There is still some stuff in the previous room (mostly AC stuff):

Love how you have the art books displayed. Might have to steal that idea once I'm moved.

Wow what an evolution. If you keep collecting at this rate, your collection will be godly!

For art prints, have you considered buying an art portfolio to store them in? I did this with my prints and posters. Its nice being able to flip through them every now and then instead of having them rolled up in shipping tubes.

Well I bought pretty much all I really wanted in the past months, now I will be slowing down a bit and focus on statues / figures. Also I'll be back to school next year, which means less time to work and less money to buy all these things. And...I have no more space :p

And yes actually I thought of getting a ''portfolio'' to store my art prints (like the ones you find in stores to display the posters for sale) but I couln't find any :/

I *think* this is the one I got for my prints. I also got this for my B2 posters, which can store larger prints as well, but I wouldn't recommend it since I'm assuming you don't require B2 size.

Do you keep prints in that portfolio that are smaller than 18x24? Just curious if they slide a lot.
