Just finished this the other day and I will say it is defiantly one of the best "experiences" of this generation. On a story and atmosphere level this blows almost all games out of the water and even leaves Uncharted in the dust.

But as I, and from what I have seen others, have said it still suffers from the menial lackluster gameplay. But the game is so engrossing that you barely notice. Plus this is done on purpose so to speak because of realism, but is that a reason to overlook it completely and forgive it... maybe.


Defiantly a great bag of mixed emotions in the ending (no spoilers). Has to be one of the most impacting endings and story ever in a game, hope they make another in this world.

The controls work just fine IMHO... In fact I think they are a great improvement over the ones used in the uncharted series... I just had a few gripes with Ellie whispering stuff sometimes when I'm trying to be totally silent when surrounded by enemies and how human enemies suffer from myopia in many instances.

Put it this way, any game that has me sitting on the edge of my seat will make me cry. I cried at Tomb Raider Chronicles years ago for killing the damn dog(s) at the start, and the butler in Tomb Raider III always scared me so I'd lock him in the fridge (and those aren't even scary games, well, not at the beginning anyway, never progressed any further).

I played Cry of Fear the other night, and believe me, that was the worst decision I've made in forever. I screamed so loud, and was violently shaking, so I couldn't play anymore :suicide: Can't deal with that :rotf: xx

this would have been a great design based on the face. The final face designs that were chosen for Joel and Ellie were just too generic for this game. This game could have been great but the designers chose the generic route as usual. ill pass.

Totall down to preference. You either get 4 individual comic books, or 1 book which contains all the comic books. You'll be missing out on cover art for the comic books if you get this one. ;) it was still only 13 quid-ish for the 4 comics from FP. Wil be nice if Dark Horse does a hardback for this like they did for the Mass Effect books. :D

On Monday July 28th, one of last year’s most acclaimed games, The Last of Us, will come to the theatrical stage in Los Angeles for a special one-night-only performance.

One Night Live will highlight the artistry behind The Last of Us with a live reading of select scenes by the principal actors, under the direction of Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog. Scheduled to appear are Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, Merle Dandridge, Hana Hayes, and Annie Wersching. In addition, Academy Award winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla will perform selections from his score. How this all fits together will remain a bit of a mystery until it happens, but trust me when I say it will be a very special evening.

This one-time-only performance will be staged at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica on Monday, July 28 at 7 PM PT. PlayStation fans who will be in the area that evening can secure free tickets to attend the performance in person. Check the PlayStation Facebook page for details on how to register.

If you can’t join us in Santa Monica, select portions of the program will be streamed live around the world on Twitch, YouTube and PlayStation Network’s Live Event Viewer. And while it goes without saying, the event will include some story spoilers.

Underwhelming. No where near as good as the few versions of the PS3 Press Kits I have seen. It would have been much better if the tin cooking pot had the logo on it. I know this is a re-release but Sony really needs to step up their kits.

We hardly ever see kits here unless they are sold later to people here.


I bet that kit was one of the very few that were sent out. Usually kits like that are only sent out in a certain country/region.

I'm pretty late in collecting The Last of Us items. Any ideas where I can find the US and European Collectors Editions for reasonable prices? Seems like they are insanely high, or maybe I'm looking at the wrong places?

There are quite a few of the italian collector's Edition (mainly joel Edition, the italian Ellie Edition is quite rare, Ive only Seen it once) on eBay and its mostly near to its original price. Then there's the german Ellie and joel Edition edition which are still at their new prices at least the sealed ones. Again, the Ellie Edition is more expensive than the joel Edition.

Then there's the post pandemic edition which is very expensive as the original Version (with sleeve) but there's a stand alone Version thats a bit cheaper.

But Yeah ebay is pretty much the place to look at or here but i didnt see many tlou collector's on here (or people that have tlou stuff for sale)
