it use seems like a bunch of random junk...a playstation cover designed for an "outdated" model that is no longer in production..a black water bottle with just plain white letter stamping on it...some DLC..and an uninspired looking box...this one appears to be a tacky cash grab for amazon italy and naughty dog..but since there on a roll with this..i am sure a proper collectors edition will be announced at least for PAL..plus maybe some of this stuff will show up in other variants/packaging worldwide

Italian version has less stuff (no artbook, packaging, poster or comic etc) ut it has a PS3 skin and a bottle. Plus it costs alot more.

I really like the euro editions, well italys is questionable. Much nicer packaging and some nice content but not quite up to the level of the statue.

The Last Of US statue is going to be some type of hard plastic or resin. The production cost to make something out of stone several thousand times would be unimaginable.

It would pretty much have to be done either all by hand or by a CNC machine, both of which are entirely impractical at that scale

Nah haven't seen it. Only statue I've seen from them is the MP3 one, but I had a look into some of their other stuff though, and it seems they do make some decent statues after all. I just don't have much faith in CE statues anymore. They always look good in photos, then I get them in hand and they look pretty crap. MP3 was terrible, Uncharted 3 also looked pretty crap. Didn't even look like Drake. The only decent one I can think of recently was AC3 Connor statue, that actually looked really nice, especially for the money. I was pleasantly surprised.

The Last Of Us statue does look quite nice in the pics, so hopefully it's as nice in person. If it ends up looking really good ill be pretty annoyed I missed out lol.

I send them my last two credit card statements, but my status order has not changed to pre-ordered...it says only "Open".

Is it normal? Don't know the case of other foreigner buyers of this edition.

Gamestop have an archaic online system where if they place a limit on the number of orders and then those orders get cancelled for whatever reason, the system automatically assumes those orders are still live. This means you won't be able to re-order as the system thinks you have hit the maxmium number of orders allowed. You can try phoning up to see if they can do something on their end.

mainly I do this because it's safe, while the stock market is slow and isn't always safe. It's impossible for me to lose money, if it's not selling around the price I want the month before it's released, I'll just cancel my online orders and just not pick the extras up from the store and get my pre order money back. If anything that allows other people who didn't have a chance to grab the game to get it, but I really see no way to 'lose' money. On the other hand, I can't wait to get my personal copy because the statue seems pretty sweet, I only hope it's hand painted

check out the marketplace threads when the game is released but these seem like they will be hard to get hold of, also when big releases are announced some members offer up a group buy again this can be found in the marketplace, but i do not think there is an availible group buy for this at the moment, there is one thrread for it but you would have to speak to that member

Hi everyone, I just got home from a pre-launch event for The Last of Us, held in Singapore this evening.

During the event, I played the demo which was fun and pretty scary. I was eviscerated a few times by the first infected that i came across in the demo, which was pretty humiliating coz there were audiences. :facepalm: Overall, the event felt pretty low-key, and the freebies given was a tad disappointing. But I am happy to be invited for it nonetheless, having received the call only yesterday.

I think it was ok. The event was small but that has it's pros and cons. They could have brought down a developer to answer our questions but that was one feedback they noted.

$450 is way to much. It's about as rare as Infamous.

Well with the shipping you would have it over a week before the actual launch which for some people is worth paying for. Remember when MW3 was on eBay a couple weeks before launch... I don't remember how much it sold for but it was like 2K or something crazy like that. Although that is a far crazier fan base.


The thing is... if this game ends up being huge then it might not be but if the game gets bad reviews for whatever reason (it is a new IP so you never know) then it would be way too much. Only time will tell.

I love survival in a post-apocalyptic world type of games

Yeah I never care about getting a game early... to be honest when I get a game I usually don't even play it right away. Some people feel like they just have to be the first to play and somehow that means something. With this one, we will feel like like charlton Heston in the "Omega Man".

That feeling is the best for me when I play this kind of games...feel that you are the most essential part of a kind of movie...

Yes I like that as well... but the gameplay for me has to be part of that immersion, and if the gameplay doesn't seem fun then it is not that great.


Even Uncharted felt tedious after awhile and i was just playing for the awesome cinematic and story (especially in 3). 2 was the best one by far... not sure i ever got fatigued in that one. But I never felt as though I "loved" those games for some reason... I am sure it is something else that i can;t really put my finger on.

You mean things like throwing a bottle to distract the clickers or going in guns blazing (or melee... and you can stealth them).

Don't get me wrong... I love those things. But IMO Dishonored did all of those things but better. But it is a completely different setting and some people like the post-apocalyptic version of that gameplay better I suppose.

Guns, stealth or combination. But the atmosphere is awesome. As is the story.
