Finally, a tiered system where buying one above won't mean you're missing out on something - Thanks, Ubi, even if you are starting late.

Although anybody reckon it's worth going for the PS4 preorder?
I'm not sure but I want to get my preorder in on this.

Yea saw them first on the CE forums. They look phenomenal.. 55cm is huge.. I got no space for them (yet!). I'm getting both definitely as well as the one with the 2 pistols. That's 3 so far.. Lets see what else turns up by the time AC IV is released..

all editions added to db, gonna preorder the skull edition as much as the uplay edition is awesome, i dont agree with the way uplay is not clear when they take money and they still owe me a far cry shirt

i also not a massive fan of pirates

I just orderd the Black Chest edition and I had to pay straight away... not a fan about that but really wanted that edition...

Okay, new problem.
I cracked and ordered the Black Chest edition for PS4 with the extra figure, (I've got enough just now and it'd be a load off knowing that I have it ordered already so why not?), however I've received no e-mail and after payment all I got was a message about, "Thank you for your order. Your order is being processed and you will be notified of the result shortly."
Never had that happen on there before. =/

Have you had confirmation on this one yet Vlad ? If so did you receive the Watch access code ?

I ask because I had the same message when I confirmed the purchase. I think some one at ubi has to physically do the confirmation. If this is the case then I won't expect to hear anything till Tuesday. It's all very confusing.

I did receive a confirmation e-mail although I've not received any codes yet.
It's also marked as "Order Submitted" on UbiShop although tbh I don't have any idea how they work anymore. I seem to remember in the past it was just a case of they take the money when you order but the past couple of times I've ordered from them sometimes they have, sometimes they haven't.
However I have no idea how codes work with them, I'm still waiting on a ?10 voucher they said I'd get after ordering Far Cry 3. (Heh, in fact that order is still listed as "Order In Process" due to the voucher part where it just says, "Processing serial number or unlock code.")

I've not even heard much about The Watch thing outside of a couple of little bits and the first time I heard of it was when I preordered.
I found the Ubisoft support Facebook say they had no idea about the code and give this link (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/761093-Ubisoft%C2%AE-unveils-assassin%E2%80%99s-creed%C2%AE-iv-black-flag-collector%E2%80%99s-editions-for-emea-areas) though if it helps.

Agreed. I mean its only a pre-order. Surely what they will do is not remove any pre-order until release date & then maybe change it to a buy now. They wouldnt be silly enough just to say "Right this country can only order so many & this country can only order so many" etc. Thats just illogical. I know at times Ubisoft does some dumb things but they wouldnt be that dumb,lol

In hindsight, I don't think they take your money when you order with a credit card. I initially thought this was the case as there was a deduction pending but it never was taken out.

I think it's just for them to make sure your card is good and you have funds available.

If its pending it will stay pending until they decide to take the money or fullfill the order. More often within 7 days of a payment pending the money will be gone from your account.With a payment pending you cant touch that money allocated to payment pending,it stays locked away & untouchable. So the reality is it doesnt matter if you pay by paypal or credit card,the moneys gone

When you order they give you a RN so you can check or print out your order like a transaction number it's there when you pre-order on the right hand side at the top but as I don't have that number I can not check my order.

I got my confirmation email pretty much instantly after ordering.

Check your account info to make sure the order is actually there, I'd also email Uplay asking why you didn't get an email.

Just picked up one of the pre-order maps, rather impressive in my opinion.
They are a map on one side with ripped edges (which I love) and on the other side it's The Watch code and instructions on entering it in about 6 languages. I'll try to take a picture later.

Not sure how uplay works in Denmark but I got my e-mail a few days ago.

Obviously by all this I got my little ubi problem sorted out. My original order hadn't gone through for some reason.

I have just wrote to the support ticket I had early where I asked about the watch and that and got the information that they will ship at some time something :)
It should be the same as Ubishop in UK.. They shipped from Germany as far as I know :)

Does it stand in the email that it is the treasure map?

Treasure map and exclusive access to "The Watch". That's all it indicates. It doesn't say what actual form the item takes. I'm making assumptions based on the fact it's a ups shipment. "The Watch" access code they'd just e-mail if that's all it was.

Well, I tried to preorder the mightyape.nz version today to ensure I get a copy of the bonus items! Wouldn't be a big deal, but apparently I can't use a USD Credit Card on their site, can only use PayPal or direct bank transfer. Kind of sad as I'd like to not have to pay until they ship it... with everything else going on this week around here I think I'm going to have to wait - don't have that much disposable income at the moment.

I know The Watch is a preorder bonus app thingy but I got a tracking number there for UPS and until this point I didn't know UbiShop was giving a map as a bonus, so anybody know what one it is?
Also I find it strange that they'd spend what must be a small fortune sending 0.1KG parcels by 48-hour UPS to everybody that's preordered.

On top of that, it also talks about taking payment as a deposit and I vaguely remembering that The Watch was listed in my checkout process as being ?8 which I hope is the correct amount. (Although I might have liked a little warning before they took it, heh.)

The Ubi one in your post says something about "Pirate's Trophy" at the bottom left, six picture panels at the right, also has at least five red crosses (maybe a sixth behind the case) although whilst the ones near Havana are the same and you can just see the Northernmost one peeking out from under the DVD case, the other two at the East are only grey/black points on the Game one.

Although ignore me, I'm just over-analysing it, I love trying to spot little differences like this. :P

i suspect different maps for different DLC perhaps?
the map i have is the EB Games AUS "Pride of the West Indies" and will unlock
-Golden Dual Swords
-Teasure Hunter MP skin
-Special Wheel
-MP Relic

JB Hi-Fi also has the same DLC but is called "Trove of Mystery" and from what i can make out in their images, thats exactly what the map has written on it.

Mighty Ape's map is called "Castaway's Treasure" and contains
-Captain Kenway's Legacy
- 2 MP maps

I of course believe you about the DLC differences between retailers as that is to be expected but do you have any of the Australian maps on hand or are there any pictures that depict differences?

My first thought was to look at all the DLC cards i've got from CE's over the years and think about how much better they could have been if they'd been treasure maps instead :rant:

Everything now seem so underwhelming now, all games should now have WAY more awesome DLC cards now that Assassin's Creed Black Flag has raised the baarrrr :pirate:

The Black Chest Edition which is exclusive to ubistore is only being sold to certain European countries (and maybe Australia not sure on that) but a lot of countries that could buy the ACIII Freedom Edition from ubistore can not buy the black chest edition

I think they limited the countries due to all the shipping issues they had with the freedom edition

While no details are available for this collector's edition, it's clear that at least Canada, through EB Games, is getting a rather hefty collector's edition.

Its a bit ridiculous really. Everywhere else somethings anounced,Ubishop everywhere else has something to order but NA just seems to be NA. Only thing i can think of is since the last one didnt do well maybe there is none. The problem is most retail CE's in the US are made in such large numbers that you're bound to have left over and overstock

Even the ACB CE (at least the PS3 version) comes up for sale sealed at a reasonable price every once in a while still

I think I've seen a seller list 5 or 6 sealed PS3 ces for 40 USD a pop 2 or 3 times in the last year or so

They should just make a limited one and not have to worry about overstock

Plus give me something unique like you said :D

As its not just USA that gets the limited item bit Canada too and Mexico has developed a nice economy in the past few years so how do you calculate the correct number of a limited it so that everyone that wants one gets one and there is none left over?
How many people ate there in NA total that would buy a VG
Also SA is developing quiet nicely so they might like a CE/LE aswell

And at least this year I know I don't have to buy the IS CE straight away as it won't sell out
It means I can split ac4 to a 2 month purchase and buy guide books and figure and art books in accessories in month 2 which helps as there is a console out in the same month

Yes,that was the first reall full on gameplay video i have seen & not just cut scenes or bits & pieces. Looking good:) Dont,worry,the graphics were a ittle unpolished on my laptop as well. I dont think its completely polished up yet to a finished product,a work in progress you might say:)

Your in charge of a ship,you enter battles you loose some crew in battle. If you loose crew they have to be replaced some how,they cant just magically appear so recruiting them is the way to replace dead crew members. Looting ships would be the same as a loot chest,just on a bigger scale & provides stuff for your ship or funds to buy stuff for your ship:D
Climbing speeds do seem stupid but,is possible going to change or may have been speed up a little to fit more into the video??
Love how you can destory the forts & take them over completely this time. Fast travels good as well if the world is as big as is stated,over 50 places to explore,yummy,lol:)

On the temple he went from standing to the top of the building without stopping on a ledge, he did not look like he pulled himself up on the 3 ledges he used but more like he was on all fours running across the floor

You get three option,get the captured crew to join your crew,send the ship to Kenways fleet or plunder the ship to repair the Jackdaw. Now i would guess sending the ship to your fleet would be much like other AC games where you send out Assassins to do tasks for you. However this time your sending out a whole ship not just a bunch of Assassins:) With recruiting the captured crew well,you if you dont loose men in battle then i suppose they will crew the other ships in your fleet. If they didnt allow the capture of the crew or to send the ship to your fleet then you wouldnt have no crew for the ships or ships to send out on missions. If you just had everyone killed then be a quick game. Its also generally known you get a choice when captured by pirates,death or join them. Rather join them than die,lol.
In regards to the climbing,it was just a guess what could have possibly been done. This is in all likelyhood as mentioned a rough cut,not a finished product. If its the same when we have the game in hand then we got a problem,lol

I am on the 4th assassination target
And I'm trying to play it really stealthy which means no climbing as climbing is just sooo slow

Also yea the ship is real but not made of wood
Its a self assembly thing
Actually its the kind of thing I find in primary schools used as learning aids, like a 3d self assembly puzzle

A soundtrack isnt going to better than the same released in other versions just because it says :quote:EPIC:quote::D Was really expecting a little something different,at least a different base for the figure,something small like that would have made a bit of difference. Plus one for AC 3 LE is at least it had a buckle & flag but nowhere else did. A steelbook with a different pic doesnt cut the mustard & so far not worth the splurge. That's close to how i actually think you look flower.

Its possible a few may appear again but with a few people having it damaged on arrival its very unlikely now

I presume you've downloaded it? It's not on the disc afaik.

I have the pc digital deluxe version (which includes the 60minute extra gameplay) so I do deffinately have it, but seeing as I am only playing the game to access the extra content (and the qualifiers such as the memory you have to reach are the same regardless of pc ps3 ps4) then I was wondering how far I had to get

Okay could any body tell me exactly what 'The Pirates Trophy' DLC that came with 'The Watch' consists of. I tried to redeem it on PS4 but an error occured. Next time I tried to redeem it the screen said the code had already been redeemed.

Just I can't seem to find any thing related to it in relation to the DLC I already have. I did read somewhere that it was content that was already included in the Black Chest edition master code. If this is so would it be possible to have a remit so I know exactly what it consists of. Just that I thought it was some thing/s exclusive only to 'The Watch.'

Now I'm getting confused.

All ULC (pirates trophy, and all other content) must be gained by opening Golden chests in game,
Some are found at the hideout mansion, some in the basement of the hideout mansion
Some are dotted on islands (the islands that have red x's on the real paper map that has the code on)
Some of it you must sail the jackdaw to 3 Unique islands nwhich on the map are labeled

If I'm not mistaken, buccaneer is not sealed with plastic wrap but round sticker sealed??
I'm not planning to open mine so just want to keep it sealed.

A big aar haar hearty thanks to those who got back regarding 'The Pirates trophy.' Now my head really hurts. Too much rum arrrr. Or is it aaar ?

To be honest I'm all gamed out at present but when I've got the wherewithal I'll try to work out what I've actually got utilising the information so graciously provided by those that came before.

Initiates content ? I'll have to go sort that out as well. You can never have too many sails or kegs of rum for that matter.

Did anyone elses' Buccaneer edition from the UbiShop arrive with the seals broken and parts of the figure missing and or missing the game?
As it has happened to me, I've got the game missing from the 360 version and bits missing from the PS3 version, the PS3 arrived without seals and the 360 arrived with them broken.
I'm only wondering if Ubi are selling returns as I ordered late (weeks ago).

I just finished the story mode of AC4 yesterday, and I enjoyed it, especially the ending.

Considering I liked blackbeard's character the most after James kidd. Vane and the other pirate is annoying to be honest

I'm like 30 hours in and only 50% sync. 100% all memory so far. Gonna collect all the uncharted stuff after I finish the game. I'm tired of jumping off the boat and swim to island and come back again :(

The uncharted stuff is entirely poor designed. I've only ever jumped off the boat directly to those islands like once. Boat never gets close enough :(

I'm like 90%+ for the story mode. 98/100 stuff done. Somehow the hunting sea animals one is not completed and I don't know why. And I can't do 100% sync cos of all those "avoid conflict" requirements. I prefer to rush into battle and kill everything :beach:
