There will be american pirates edition, one edition for every EU countries and chinese pirate CE for asia region. Australia will get shit because we have no pirates.

There will be AC4 inspired gun replica. Treehouse will probably get to make some product for them and there will be play arts kai figures, statues, bags, t-shirts, belts, AC encyclopedia version 3 pirate edition and standard edition at ubiworkshop. Ubiworkshop exclusive with the new comic based on the new guy.

Not to mention exclusive steelbooks for every region + specific countries for each of the famous pirates in the their region/country.

Really excited for more news. Some will complain that AC3 had too many CEs, promo items and merchandise. But as a collector who picks and chooses items that are relevant to the game, I was glad to see the franchise become really big. Want to see the franchise grow bigger, with more stuff for AC IV.

I wouldn't bet there will be czech edition at some point. AC3 sucked my life, they promised awesome game with LONG story. We got super show on E3, but nothing more. I dont like ac3. Too much american symbols ( nothing againts you bros) For example that missions with forts. *dramatic camera move to the flag* I like Haytham, so if this is his father its better than some mohawk jerk. ( again, nothing against you native american collectors ) :D

There was a event already planned before the leak was there, an Assassin's Creed event on February 27th, but the game was a few days before already leaked.

Now the release date has been leaked aswell, by a mistake of Ubisoft themselves.

Out of everything thats been mentioned for a collectors edition a ship in a bottle sounds pretty cool to me. Thats something unique & would look good if done right.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in the AC franchise for the collectibles only. It had to be a good game to even get me interested in the franchise. :)
They have numerous studios around the world so I'm confident they had ample time to develop the games and of high quality..

Bioshock did have a bottle but,it was plastic & had 3 posters inside. I could probably understand no rum,but i nice old style dark glass rum bottle with some fancy engraving etc on it would be in the cool catergory:)

The assassin looks so much more interesting than Connor. As does the location. I'll play this when I get a PS4 to get the most out of it.

I'm hoping for wooden treasure chest packaging for the inevitable CE. I'd be so happy to have another statue like the Freedom Edition, or the Hunter statue but to me a cloth map is a must.

after spending alot on AC3 alone and in the end it turned out to be crap, well character story wise, actor script and performance, you have this dilemma of not collecting everything and black flag turns to be awesome or collecting all again and black flag turns to be crap.....
from what i see edward is a desperate attempt to make a memorable character like ezio, hardcore looking and not mention a playboy which is a sale factor by adding mature themes which something david cage talked about awhile ago at DICE summit saying industry needs to grow up, now everyone is trying it either to profit from horny players or just for the sake of creativety much like what kojima said about ground zeros taboos.
now obviously naval battle was a success in AC3 thats why its the main theme in black flag but gameplay experience isnt something am worried about.expect alot of risen 2 influence and not to mention pirates of the caribbean lol
its the story am worried about. edward story will clear out why haythem had a hidden blade and was templar too. its should be a powerful plot this time around. but who knows too much focus on naval and treasure hunting and story gets it. damn ubi for letting Patrice Desilets go after ACB and now they got him back unfairly by buying his studio the THQ montreal and snaging his games. mark my word they will use him as an adviser if he didn't say no yet.....

i think black flag was the recent backup build for AC3, recent i mean 2011-2012 for that reason if am correct there wont be any dev dairy before release and this time we might get a making of disc in the CE but i doubt it. well thats just my gamer intuition :p
but like most said ubi is all about money now, that explains why both watchdogs and black flag releasing on ps4 too, pc is the lead platform for watchdogs so dont expect much even from the new powerful ps4 maybe only minor details differences. black flag on ps3 is pointless but what if no CE or just basic CE on ps4 you will have to buy the less optimal version just for the CEs and a standard or basic CE for ps4 version just to enjoy the game as intended technical wise.

Ofcourse its a source of profit. This is sadly becoming the norm. As long as people keep buying into it then they are going to ride it for all its worth. Why wouldn't they? I've enjoyed the AC games but I can't say they are my favorite. I also collect AC but its not the only game I collect for. There is no doubt that there will be many editions once again and I know I'm more than likely going to get the majority if not all of them. Thats just my personal curse.

Since I know I'm a sucker for all the different editions, I would like to see an edition that stands out above everything they've done this far. Something of top quality and not made of cheap plastic. I want it to be big. I'd like to see lights hear sounds and maybe be motion activated. I'd like a very limited edition with a ship in it. A big ship 20"-22" long and twice as tall. Would be nice to see it available to everyone yet be limited to only 2000-3000. I don't mind paying a higher price for top quality. I want to see CEs with Sideshow quality in them.

I really think that this is a concern they should know from die hard fans of the series. 2 or 3 more crappy Assassin's Creed and I quit... the count down hasn't started yet but I could feel that vibe of negativity. I have no complaint with AC3 really, I did had big expectations in AC3 in terms of expanding your estate, trading, collecting, pelts and getting stronger weapons... but at the end of the game, I still had my old weapons. I barely understood the trading system which is the reason why I was 1/3 of the game and I have to restart all over just to understood it but never used it... and collecting pelts doesn't feel rewarding. I could also have skipped capturing forts missions but I decided not too. Its the same thing with Revelations but since its the culmination of Ezio's saga I could just ignore the game system and focus on the story more which balanced out. What won me over for AC3 is frontier, amazing scenery, a halfassed story line where the half is really really good and the half is really really bad and with these, I ranked AC3 the very bottom of all AC games.

My thoughts on Black Flag. For Ubisoft I really expect the setting to be in Japan, or Egypt for the next game. But this is really a shocker. Exactly, he is actually the real "main character" in the Assassin's Creed series. Initially thought AC3 would be a full game on him in modern day..

Some people are saying it's getting boring with the Assassin's Creed games, especially with the yearly releases, but I feel like I'm just getting started. I have played all the games but not yet completed them 100% and the DLC. There still seems to be so much more info in there that I have yet to uncover. Of course, the Assassin's Creed Encyclopedias I have are still untouched, so will need to get that started as well.

Ubisoft have plenty of studios around the world so I'm confident they will put good quality games even though I felt AC 3 was a little rushed. Of course being a collector, makes it doubly exciting. I'm already thinking of what stuff they can included in the CEs. However, "A Statue is a must.. Everything else is Secondary.." If there are good stories to tell and the game-play is kept fresh, I say bring them on!

Haha thanks but I have never thought of myself as a good writer. One of the reasons why I started a blog was to improve my writing. I feel my language but sometimes there isn't a proper flow in the sentence structures

i can help you with that :)
whatever CEs next gen will get for AC4 or watchdogs wont be ddifferent but i highly doubt they will make them. the selling point is current gen not the next.
but if there is CEs for next gen whatever different or same as current gen i highly recommend getting all CE on current gen and just standard copy on next gen. why you ask?
its because black flag is a prequel for AC3 and your AC3 collection is on ps3 not ps4, you complete the kenway's saga on a single platform, differ from the pattern when another non desmond related assassin appears as a main character.
the ps4 copy is just for the technical satisfaction :)
thats what i will do, just 2 uk ps3 CEs high and low and CE guide thats it, maybe a figure if non of the CEs have it.
watchdogs on the other hand is obviously a next gen game mainly, thats where i will buy a next gen CE for it and only high one.

I really think that this is a concern they should know from die hard fans of the series. 2 or 3 more crappy Assassin's Creed and I quit... the count down hasn't started yet but I could feel that vibe of negativity. I have no complaint with AC3 really, I did had big expectations in AC3 in terms of expanding your estate, trading, collecting, pelts and getting stronger weapons... but at the end of the game, I still had my old weapons. I barely understood the trading system which is the reason why I was 1/3 of the game and I have to restart all over just to understood it but never used it... and collecting pelts doesn't feel rewarding. I could also have skipped capturing forts missions but I decided not too. Its the same thing with Revelations but since its the culmination of Ezio's saga I could just ignore the game system and focus on the story more which balanced out. What won me over for AC3 is frontier, amazing scenery, a halfassed story line where the half is really really good and the half is really really bad and with these, I ranked AC3 the very bottom of all AC games.

My thoughts on Black Flag. For Ubisoft I really expect the setting to be in Japan, or Egypt for the next game. But this is really a shocker. i agree with you on what made AC3 a great gameplay experience.
multiplayer in black flag will revamped greatly, i say that because of the survey i received from ubi about multiplayer experience in AC3. that aswell will be another selling point.
hmmmm black flag will be everything and better than what risen 2 should have been....quite sad actually.

well we will get AC4 early on current gen than next gen, next gen might be 1-2 months away and with that i doubt they will release an exclusive CE, but for watchdogs there is a high chance that they will make a CE whatever exclusive or same as current gen, as its a new ip and totally looking next gen people. and its very highly anticipated.

Considering the PS4 is only just coming out i would hazard a guess there would be no CE for this platform. It just seems logical,i mean whats the point in making something for something that wont be fully a worldwide seller(yet),not many will have yet or even bother with yet. To make a CE for the PS4 or any upcoming next gen i dont really see happening just yet,i simply dont think it would make good financial sense. If they do make a CE for the next gen for whatever reason,chances are it would probably be in very very limited amounts making it worth getting from the point of collectability & rarity.

Well, saying that the package is below 5KG the shipping is 272DKK in shipping. Im ending up saving silly money money no matter how i look at it. Although it all depends on how UPS declares it. So in the end im saving about a 160DKK. From the UK i save about 232DKK.
