Both editions look pretty mediocre to me. I'm also hating the art style more and more with each passing game. 500 for a ce with an ugly statue is crazy.

it used to be medieval, now its just one bad enemy/boss design after another. This looks bloodborned out. I mean what are those statues even supposed to be of?

Not too sure about Red Knight, but Lord of Cinder is the final boss of Dark Souls.

I agree with the design getting worse and worse, it seems that theyre greying out everything, how about adding some firey elements to the lord of cinder atleast (epic boss in ds1)

price wise yes. What I meant was: when an edition is very limited, middle east distributors aren't given any, that's why it was strange that the uae website (geekaygames.com) posted it and then removed it. I've used geekaygames a lot, and they almost never get the "rarer versions"

If 2000 are made, priority is for eastern Asian countries, Europe, and America's (sometimes Australia), this is only what I've noticed

i do have to agree with the people that i liked the first designs better. BUT lucky for me i actually like the statue (and the purty steelbook) in the cheaper version. I like its more battle ready look compared to the one in the second c.e.

If it's made out of polystone or another high end material it may be worth it. Other statues from the likes of Sideshow & Hot Toys are similarly priced.

The guide looks cheap too me, thin "starter" booklet (seems like an instruction manual) - nothing like the witcher guides for the early 2 games. Plus it prima so expect subpar quality =/

Well, it's not a guarantee but from my experience german Amazon tend to add the items at noon and go live with them at the evening. At the weekend, they usually do both at noon.

The Dark Souls 3 Prestige Edition is now LIVE to pre-order on Amazon.co.uk for PS4, XboxOne, and PC. The price currently listed is a whopping £292.11 for all formats! No telling whether that will be brought down to something more reasonable (could be placeholder price), but with the rumoured rarity of this edition it's not unthinkable to assume that this is the actual price! I would suggest keeping a look-out on Namco-Bandai's social media feeds for more information regarding whether this is the actual price or not...

Good to see it's finally up. Also in regards to international shipping, many times Amazon have done this for a certain period then I guess 'changed the rules' down the track & international shipping is allowed.

Normally by then it's too late & it's sold out. I suggest put a fake UK address in then down the track before release try & change it to your proper address, it should accept it. This has always worked for me in the past with a few CE's I've bought so hopefully it's the same deal now.

Omg, this would be great news! I asked myself how they are going to do it, translating such a little amount of editions in french or spanish or german would be very expensive. If I was in charge for this edition, I wouldn't translate it and sell just the english version. Hope they thought about it. :)

I think that the shipping limitations you mention are a big hindrance and the market is probably small where they sell. Plus, when you preorder from somewhere like Amazon, you know you will either get the game or if you don't, you are not charged and their return policies are pretty cut and dry.

With larger sellers, as long as you get your order in reasonably quick, you also generally get what you order, not a "we are sorry" email the day before when they find out they only got 5 instead of 50. Overselling stock happens at all levels, but I have had more issues with small sellers not getting what they hoped for and having to cancel.

They may be completely legit, but it wouldn't be a purchase that inspired confidence in me.

Also, the reason why it "doesn't sell on geekay"
1) online ordering of video games is not a common thing in the middle east, collectors from here already use other western or eastern websites.
2) Geekaygames are not very smart or game savvy, it's a business for them
3) it could be a lot more common than we think (if this store is selling it haha)

I think the worst thing is that every division of Namco Bandai seems to run itself and there really hasn't been a clear communication from the parent company about it. A simple press release saying "how many/where it will be sold/when" would of been nice, but if there is one, I haven't found it.

Surprisingly, I don't think many of these got scooped up by scalpers. I only saw the one "Buy It Now" for like 765 USD and that was it. I expected people to be trying to flood Ebay with them, even if Ebay was cancelling auctions and looked to see people asking like 1500 or so. Maybe the initial price may of run off the scalpers?

It will be interesting to see how they track in price. I remember the Signature Edition of Amalur selling for 2500 USD a couple times after release, which sank a good deal after 38 Studios imploded. Surprisingly, I don't think many of these got scooped up by scalpers. I only saw the one "Buy It Now" for like 765 USD and that was it. I expected people to be trying to flood Ebay with them, even if Ebay was cancelling auctions and looked to see people asking like 1500 or so. Maybe the initial price may of run off the scalpers?

It will be interesting to see how they track in price. I remember the Signature Edition of Amalur selling for 2500 USD a couple times after release, which sank a good deal after 38 Studios imploded. We probably only had 2-3 units available per platform from EB, and the only retailer asking for a staggering close to 50% deposit (no free shipping either). I believe Mightyape NZ were asking for a $100 deposit.

First of all, I'm bumping to ask if anyone here has any news regarding the Prestige edition availability. Namco-Bandai seems to have conveniently forgotten about it on its various twitter accounts.

Secondly, even though I'm not counting on it, I'd like to point out to anyone that was able to preorder more than one copy and that has not cancelled it or passed it to someone else, that I would be more than willing to get it -which seems to me a little better than feeding scalpers on eBay-.
