Big box Warcraft 3 release?

Anyone confirm if Warcraft 3 was every released in a Big Box version like the other Blizzard classic games? I've been looking around for it but all i can find are the DVD case versions.

I meant the standard edition. But nice job getting the CE. How much did it cost you?

No Russian Bear it never came in a Big Box like Starcraft etc (Just the collectors edition).

Ah, my mistake. I believe Starcraft and Diablo 2 were the last blizzard titles that had big boxes. W3 and expansions were all small boxes, there is a W3 battlechest as well. The W3 CEs I have, I picked up for around $25.

Thanks guys. Such a shame though, i love big box releases and it would of been nice to have WC3 on my shelf. Guess ill try and pick up the Battlechest and CE.

You can also get an Exclusive Gift Set version which came with:

Strategy guide
Cinematics DVD (the same found in the Warcraft III Collector's Edition)
Warcraft II: Battle.net

Hey mate yeah it comes complete with a DVD with cinematics, interviews and a making-of segment, an Art of Warcraft coffee table book, 4 limited-edition lithographs, a signed manual and a soundtrack.

Pretty decent and not to diffcult to come by, btw that game was right :-)

I remember getting WC3 the day it came out and all they had were the small boxes. Surprised that they made both small and big box versions o0 The small boxes you could get them themed in either undead/ne/orc

Like all Blizzard collector's editions, the WC3 CE is worth a buy.

Blizzard made this game in 2 versions: at first the big box version and later the small DVD size version. They do not come one inside the other :)
The content inside both versions is the same

It did, I have it back home in South Africa, so maybe it was for PAL regions. The one I had was the standard edition.
