So first of all the "big" Freedom edition doesn't come with everything that's in the Join Or Die, and then to get every bonus you still need to buy the standard game?!

Plus there are like 2 or 3 more editions all over the world.

Well I bought every expensive edition fro RE5 : US at high price when it went out, Asian edition (with the USB key) and the E-Capcom (although I got this one relatively cheap, 80€ in excellent condition, including the wallet, bonus content still sealed, 48h code unused, the guy just opened the game) but well I would have liked a sealed one.

I just need the Korean edition or whatever country it is from, I recently discovered it, the one with the movie.


And for AC1 my uncle offered me the Limited Edition with the statue, I had no idea about this game and I really loved it, so I bought other editions like the US one and the Euro metal box.


And now they're releasing like 4 collector's editions for each AC and RE game!

But well I made my day anyways, found the Borderlands 2 Loot Chest for regular price!
I didn't want this game at first but since it's a big collector and I found it at regular price I ordered it. :D

Dont forget the Ubisoft Workshop edition. Theres 4 litho art works now included along with the new encyclopedia,the game(of course)a special graphic novel & from what i have found so far a fancy box made to look like a Abstergo Industries file box. More is evidently on the cards to be included. So far i have three different versions pre-ordered & everytime i look theres some other bonus i need to have,i have the pewter figures sorted,i may have a ring lined up,now i find i need a bloody bear claw & two more steelbooks:banghead:

For me,it worked out at US$90 inc shipping for just the new encyclopedia or i could buy the Ubiworkshop edition with the Encyclopedia,game etc for US$99 inc shipping. So,that to me was a better deal cost wise. I dont plan on buying anymore editions just for the bonus items but,looking around i see a few of the new steelbooks already listed for $40-$50 each,which is bloody stupid. Especially when these things are normally freebies anyway

Steel books look to be in demand at the moment. Probably why prices are going up. Considered collecting those as well but I'm too much of a perfectionist that I will be depressed if they don't arrive in mint condition.

i think its wrong how they have gone about the freedom edition and us equivalant should of had everything the lower editions had.

on that note i would say well done to gearbox and hitman makers as both have 3 versions of borderlands 2 and hitman absolution all includeing what the edition below had.

i suppose there will always be people to buy, but its nice to see when some games have teired editions including all the prior content, that was my biggest gripe that the freedom edition did not include the medallion, hence i went with join or die.

UWS edition will be the rarest I think, but obviously the items in it aren't as "cool" as what is included in the Freedom/US LE for example. So it depends what you're after, rare-ness, or cool-ness for your shelf :) xx

I've just had it confirmed by Amazon that the two physical items that are stated in the preorder box of the Encylopaedia edition on Amazon.com are in fact the Encyclopaedia and Subject 4 novel. They've just worded it really badly.

Well in Denmark at GameStop there stands at them that Freedom edition is exculsive to them.. But at same time I can order it at the Danish Ubisoft store. :)

I completely agree with you there should only be one version as it makes sense from a business point of view
it makes more sense to have 30 unbranded steel books per store then 15 Xbox and 15 PS3 because if they go with unbranded then the left overs can be used for WiiU preorders

and if its a digipack and branded then how come people who pre order join or die online are getting the steel book also

No - Freedom is European exclusive

North America got the Limited edition with the figurine, game, stars and stripes and belt buckle :)

No. Freedom Edition is exclusive to EU regions and US have their own Limited Edition.

There are plenty of post and videos about the different between US Limited Edition and EU Freedom Edition. But I think you are asking the difference between US Freedom and EU Freedom if US Freedom exists.

I got my editions still sealed, but I have seen some spanish unboxings and it looks different...

Maybe it's a trick of the video that dont catch it well...maybe a closer look...

It's disappointing as it is, and it's even more disappointing having holdings for two BD's/DVD's. :(
