Very impressed with the Freedom Edition as well. One of the best CE's I've seen/bought. The Connor statue is amazing, very well done, which usually isn't the case with bonus figures/statues that come with CE's (Uncharted 3 for example).

I got my Freedom Edition today as well and am very impressed with it's contents. I love the statue, it sits well with the rest of the collection. :D

I pulled out the steelbook that I got months ago (the US preorder one with RP in the corner) and compared it to the one that came with the FE. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but even though the picture is the same, there are slight colour differences between the two which makes it cool to have both. I'll have to take pictures which will explain everything.

Apparently UBIsoft sent me an email to say they cancelled my order twice.

It's okay though as I managed to sell one on ebay.

Don't follow that one, mate. If they cancelled your order twice why did they send 3 and bill you for 3 ??

Still patiently waiting for mine . . .although UPS deliver up to 7 pm apparently.

I ordered one when I first heard that UBIsoft opened the preorder. A few days later I received an email to say that that order had been cancelled due to them not receiving payment for it. So a month later I ordered it again thinking the last one had been cancelled. The same thing happened. I received another email to say it had been cancelled. As I wanted it so much I ordered it again but this time closer to the pre-ordered date. This time I didn't get a email to say they cancelled it.

Today I received three boxes and checked my account and emails and apparently the ones they said they cancelled wasn't. So I am now stuck with three.

Managed to sell one on ebay. If the other one don't sell I guess I will just store it in the attic. I don't really feel like paying to send it back or arguing with UBISOFT to be honest. It's a fantastic collectors edition. It's been a while since I brought a decent one so it's not too bad.

Yeah, they've got some strange practices on the Ubishop fer sure. I always pre-order from them rather than Gamestop because i hate the idea of paying upfront for a pre-order. But i notice that Ubishop always take the money from my account when i order and then put it back again a day or two later.

So in your case maybe you didn't have enough in the bank when you ordered. Daft way to do things really because, even if you have enough in when its ordered, there's no guarantee you will when it's shipped.

Ah well, six pm and still bugger all for me . . .looks like UPS have fucked up again :banghead:

Yep, they're all shrinkwrapped. Incidentally, when I picked my FE up from EB, the one they gave me had some dirty marks on the slipcover UNDER the shrinkwrap. :nosleep:

Being the anal collector that I am, I got the guy to swap it for another one. :v:

The notebook is not faulty, this is how the book was designed. Every Notebook has 'secret pages' which must be opened using a special tool like a knife or letter opener.

Once you have cut open the secret pages you will find that the page numbers are now in the correct sequence.

Opening the hidden pages using a knife

Please take care when cutting the pages to avoid any unwanted tearing. Some pages are also designed to fold-out, so be careful not to cut any of these pages.

There's nothing special about it though, you'd really only want the box, lol

Have to say the Freedom Edition is spot on - my CE of the year, I think.

LURVE that steelbook, nice statue, neat journal, decent price. Haven't had anything to top it this year.

Yeah that's what i said, i think its the best i've brought this year..i liken it to a Sonic Generations of 2011. So likely my Edition of the year aswell.

My Join or Die edition from JB HiFi still hasn't arrived yet. Was shipped out on 29 Oct but no tracking. Getting a little worried. Maybe I should drop them a mail if I still don't see anything by end of today?

Got a question about redeeming DLC with AC3.

The PSN I'm using is US (R1) but I'm playing the UK (R2) version from the Freedom Edition. So I want to redeem the DLCs I got from the Freedom Edition..

But on the DLC voucher, it says that you have to redeem in-game so when I try that, it brings up the US PSN store redeem code page. So when I try redeeming, it says invalid. Which is normal since the code was in the UK freedom edition so it should be redeemed in the UK PSN store..

But.. this issue which was also in AC Revelations.. the code is only valid for 1 PSN account and the one it was used to redeem with. So if I use another UK account to redeem the freedom edition codes, the DLC won't work when I play on my US PSN account.

So my question is.. is there a workaround or am I just screwed with this weird method Ubisoft is using? Shouldnt all DLC be valid for all users in a single PS3?

The DLC's should work on a US account once they've been redeemed on a UK account (you have to leave te account on your PS3).

Usually it does, but Ubisoft seems to have prevented this with AC Revelations and AC 3. It says DLC will only work with the PSN account it was redeemed on.

I tried this with the pre-order DLC for AC Revelations. DLC was unlocked for the UK account but didn't see it unlocked on my main US account

Glad I didn't just accept the PS3 UWS edition that was on it's way to me (before it got recalled) then, as I was only wanting to keep it for the extra missions.

Will just pick up a UK PS3 copy at some point then xx

Got my Join or Die Edition from Zavvi yesterday. I am already at %97 synch but good addition for my collection especially the 1GB Assassin USB memory/bracelet

Yeah I finally received it. It was a PS3 version they'd sent out, so they recalled it and once it got back to them, they dispatched an Xbox 360 version (since that's what I'd ordered), that's why it took so long. Got stung with ?20 customs fees too :( xx

They should reimburse you for that as it was completely their fault! I'm sure you can dispute it and get your money back....there's must be a law about it....investigate.:lock:
