I can actually tell you that the real posters came out of a pad that had a ton of posters in it. The posters had to be torn out of the pad, kind of how you describe there. I know this because I received my poster directly from a Rockstar rep, and I saw the pad with my own eyes, and I saw him rip the poster out of the pad for me. There are no real perforations on the poster though; none that I can see anyway. I do recall that the pad had all four of the posters in it; but I could be wrong; it was so long ago...

Fast update! The signed God of War:Ascension art book.
This is a massive and truly impressive book. For sure, it's highly recommended to anyone that loves videogame artbooks. This book here puts most other artbooks to shame.

I noticed you only went with the British ac flag
Its my belief that each country (that has an UBisoft department) in Europe held one launch event and at aleach one 2 British and 2 american flags where used
This would explain why there have been a set of 4 show up in France, UK and Poland to date, which leaves Italy,Spain, Czech, and a few others left to surface
(Disclaimer: this information and idea is based from memory, it may be completely wrong, but it is the logic I compiled to make sense of why the flags always show up in quantities of 2 British and 2 US at the same time by the same seller, never more or less, only only one seller per country)

So it was UK/EU AC3 Launch events, they were hung at them but not given out per say. So they are quite rare it seems.

It is from one (possibly more than one) launch party, in celebration of AC III. I do believe that it's a pretty rare flag. I've only ever seen 2 available. I have one of those 2 flags. Another member from the boards here has the other one.
Needless to say, I do feel lucky to have it in my AC collection.

again i shall answer about the flags,
i have seen 6 of these flags (all the same size)
that's 6 british union flags
and 6 american colonial flags

they turn up in pairs of pairs 2 birtish and 2 colonial, they do not turn up in ones
eq 1 british here
one colonial from a differet source

the sources that have them so far have always had them in sets (2 british and 2 colonial making 4 flags)
if they where given away to people who asked nicely, why are they being given 2 sets?

and how do they get from france to poland but nobody inbetween has them?

This is the Assasin's Creed IV skull candle! As far as I know, this was only available via the Ace of Spades competition, a Facebook contest, and a handful of events.
I do believe this to be one rare piece. I certainly have no idea how many exist, but it's not unreasonable to assume that not too many of these are floating around out there. Maybe a few hundred, maybe 1,000? who knows...

In any case, I am glad to add this treasure to my little AC collection.

The second I saw pictures of the pocket watch, I absolutely fell in love with it.
After a bit of searching, I was able to get my hands on one at a reasonable price; well, it was a reasonable price when compared to what others have sold for!
I've heard that this was a pre-order bonus at some Czech retail stores, but I really have not seen very many of the watches. It makes me wonder if this watch was ever actually handed out as a pre-order bonus. I'm not entirely sure, but I'm thinking there's a chance that this is a rare piece. I know that it was for sure handed out to at least one person via contest. I really don't know if they handed these out via the Ace of Spades game.

At any rate, I'm super excited to add this watch to my little AC collection.

This is a promo kit, exclusive to Gamestop; I'm not sure if it was only available at USA Gamestop stores though. I'm also not sure if every single store got one of these kits. I haven't seen, but a handful of these in the wild. Maybe it was only sent to top performing stores?

This was not a retail sale piece at all. It was intended for use by store employees only.
It included originally a bunch of tattoo sleeves, which employees could wear in-store. It also includes an info sheet, and an oversize flag. It all comes housed in the brown box.

I'm honesty not sure if anything else was included originally in the kit, but I'm thinking that there was nothing else included.

I think the flag might be made of canvas, but I'm not sure. Whatever the material, it's certainly sturdy. I'll measure the flag later, but again, it appears to be pretty large. The logo on the flag appears to be screen-printed, as opposed to embroidered.

The quality of the journal is excellent. It doesn't look or feel cheap at all. It has a suede feel. I'm not sure if it's real leather though;probably not. It has metal rings binding the sheets; and the sheets have a nice look about them too.

$32 for the kit would've been a great deal! Hopefully you can get one later.
I lucked out and got mine in a sweet trade deal; so I didn't have to spend a dime on it! :D

I was so happy with my sealed DSULE until I chanced upon this thread. In your thread my X360 'grail' DSULE is simply used as some random paper weight (gasp!) in a picture for one of your multiple signed litographs! I haver to laugh at how many of the modern sealed so-called 'grails' are used as paperweights to showcase posters. Ah, pure evil :twisted:

This thread has definitely broadened my horizons when it comes to collecting. I'm (very) grateful at all the online stores I have tracked down thanks to your thread and all the goodies I have now discovered. Sets me new targets.

In return I thought you may be interested in this link (http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/art-print) which has a limited (autographed of course Mortal!) run of litographs of classic 1988 game Wasteland which spawned the modern setting of post-apocalyptic games that inspired the Fallout series and many others.

At least after seeing your thread my wife now thinks I'm not such a nutter after all; your thread makes me look in her eyes as 'almost' normal (key word 'almost').

There are considerably worst cases than mine .. *cough* Giant Dragonborn statue in the attic *cough* :haha:

I'm curious, you don't collect old-school big boxes i.e. Black Isle / Interplay. It's all very modern goodies. Any particular reason for that? Is it because of the high prices fetched that you'd rather focus on new (rare) stuff?

I'm not sure exactly what the story is behind this book, but as you can see, it is a limited edition art book based on Ryse. This edition is limited to 200 copies, and is hand numbered. I have no idea if other editions of this book exist, or will exist later.

The book is rather large, and long. It's slightly taller, and way longer than the Journey art book, for instance. It's also hardbound, and I think it's bound in real leather too, though it may be synthetic. It looks and feels like real leather to me though.

I was so happy with my sealed DSULE until I chanced upon this thread. In your thread my X360 'grail' DSULE is simply used as some random paper weight (gasp!) in a picture for one of your multiple signed litographs! I haver to laugh at how many of the modern sealed so-called 'grails' are used as paperweights to showcase posters. Ah, pure evil :twisted:

This thread has definitely broadened my horizons when it comes to collecting. I'm (very) grateful at all the online stores I have tracked down thanks to your thread and all the goodies I have now discovered. Sets me new targets.

In return I thought you may be interested in this link (http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/art-print) which has a limited (autographed of course Mortal!) run of litographs of classic 1988 game Wasteland which spawned the modern setting of post-apocalyptic games that inspired the Fallout series and many others.

At least after seeing your thread my wife now thinks I'm not such a nutter after all; your thread makes me look in her eyes as 'almost' normal (key word 'almost').

I'm curious, you don't collect old-school big boxes i.e. Black Isle / Interplay. It's all very modern goodies. Any particular reason for that? Is it because of the high prices fetched that you'd rather focus on new (rare) stuff?

I'm not sure exactly what the story is behind this book, but as you can see, it is a limited edition art book based on Ryse. This edition is limited to 200 copies, and is hand numbered. I have no idea if other editions of this book exist, or will exist later.

The book is rather large, and long. It's slightly taller, and way longer than the Journey art book, for instance. It's also hardbound, and I think it's bound in real leather too, though it may be synthetic. It looks and feels like real leather to me though.

It's not mind blowing by any account; indeed, I'm sure most people would not be impressed at all.

It is, however, one piece that I've been after for years. I've only ever seen one other example for sale, and that was way back in the day. I've been kicking myself ever since, for not pulling the trigger on it then.

I don't think I've ever mentioned the existence of the piece here before (though I meant to; it just slipped my mind probably.)

This is an officially licensed, promotional Assassin's Creed "movie style" poster.
It's quite large, and has an impressive presence when seen in person.

I first saw these posters many, many years ago. A few of these pieces popped up for sale right after one particular E3 those many years ago. In fact, it may have been E3 2007, before the first AC game had even been released! Which, I suppose, would make this one of the earliest pieces of AC memorabilia. The poster may have, indeed, been exclusively available at that year's E3. Now I'm not sure if any of this is 100% accurate (as my memory is hazy), but I think there's a very good shot that it is. I need to do a bit more research; which I may or may not get to eventually, lol.

Back then, I intended on getting one of these posters, but for whatever reason, I hesitated. By the time I decided to actually pull the trigger on it, they were all gone.

Ever since then, I'd been diligently looking for this poster, with zero success. Honestly, in all these years of searching, I didn't see a single one of these posters for sale anywhere. It was madness, lol. This poster haunted me, lol.

Actually, I think it might be one of those premium options that you get for buying the yearly service, but I'm not sure. Let me check.

I think it was a new type of facial capture. 32 HD cameras.

Yeah if pics are larger than a certain width they get scaled down to the same width (not sure if to do with the hosting or browser).

All images regardless of source size, will only display at a certain size within the ce.org forum, but the resizing is done by each person viewing the picture, so if mortal posts a 30MP image in the forum, and 100 people view it, then every one of those 100peoples browsers actually download, cache and resize the image

It's a beautiful sculpt, and it's up to par with the quality of the other bottles that I have. My only complaint is that the hands on the figure are not true to the in-game model. Consequently, the hands on the bottle look really bad. I don't understand why they changed the design of the hands. It's a small detail, but it makes a really big difference, if you ask me.

Edit: sorry for the poor quality pic. I was being lazy and didn't use a tripod. I'll take a better pic tomorrow.

As you can see, I've added two rare C&B giclees to my collection. I am really glad that I was able to pick both of these up before they sold out. I'm especially fond of the Journey print. It's a real treasure and will definitely be framed at some point in the near future.

Cook and Becker extremely pricey, but all prints look amazing. As I have said before not a big print fan, but darn do they look amazing. Destiny promo mini litho in presentation case. It only comes with one litho, but there are slots for other, different lithos. Supposedly, in the coming months, as the release of the game gets closer, the rest of the lithos (that go in the presentation case) will be released shipped out in order to complete the set.

Next, I figured I'd share some non-gaming-related items that I recently acquired.
I have a very small collection of original comic art sketches. Some of these I just received recently; others I've had for a long time.

These are full color sketches done for my by Humberto Ramos. He's an artist for Marvel currently; but he's also worked for countless other companies.

Some time after the artist did those sketches for me, his people contacted me and asked if I would like to have the sketches included in a new sketchbook that the artist was releasing. I said yes of course, and shortly thereafter, they did indeed publish the sketches in the book. It's pretty cool to own something that the artist felt proud enough to include in a book.

I also have a small collection of statues, made up of mostly comicbook characters. Here are the ones that I picked up most recently. Maybe soon I'll post my entire statue collection. It's kind of tough though, 'cause most of them are in storage, and it would be a huge pain to take them all out just to take pics. I do take them out of storage from time to time, in order to display them; so it's not like they're in perpetual storage; but I only have so much space available, so they do stay in storage mostly.

I think there was originally probably something hanging from the little slit on one of the pockets (Maybe a necklace, a piece of paper, something else? who knows.)Anyway, whatever was hanging from that opening, it's long gone and I never even saw it.

This is the uber rare kit that was gifted by Ubisoft to some members of the press, friends, family, and other VIPs. I was pretty bummed that I was unable to get my hands on this piece earlier (I just got it!), and I was beginning to think that I'd never be able to get my hands on one. The search for this thing was a true exercise in futility! Early on in my search, I had a kit lined up, but that deal fell through; and it was all downhill from there. Each new lead would ultimately turn up nothing. Anyway, I was finally able to find one; and to say that I was thrilled is an understatement. Hope you all like the pics!
