Unbelievable collection! I especially like the MGS3 Movie poster and the MGS1 poster. Also the ME lithos and that hitman statue is awesome.

:welcome: and enjoy your stay here! I'm really jealous about all these framed artworks, posters and pictures. Where did you buy all of them? They come framed or you bought atrworks and frames separately? We don't have any shop in Czech Republic which sells some already framed beatiful game related artworks and I'm afraid of import such a fragile items. I'm tired of wall full of posters and I'm aiming for some framed ones for a long time.

The art does not come framed. The one downside of collecting art prints and posters is that having them framed can cost an arm and a leg. In most cases, the frames cost more than the art itself. I have them custom framed at a local frame shop. Because of the high cost, I've decided to stop having art framed. I may still frame the occasional piece. I'm keeping everything in folios from now on for the most part.

...What is in that GTA chinatown wars box?

That is a promo launch kit that was given to North American Gamestop stores to help promote the game. It was issued a bit before the DS game was released. It contains an info sheet and 10 fortune cookies with witty fortunes like this one:

I'm from Chicago and I was a teenager when the Bulls were in their prime and sneakers were in their golden age. That was a special time.

A few questions and comments:

Where the hell did you get a Mass Effect figurine, when the only official figurine I know of (the Liara T'Soni figure from Kotobukiya) hasn't been released yet!? This I find most puzzling.
I'm not a Marvel vs Capcom fan (or a fighting game fan at all really) but the artistic beauty of your marvel vs capcom poster is just INCREDIBLE. I am in love with that man...
Can you please tell me where I can buy those sleeves you are using for your Lithographs? They look like they are attached to each other, like a picture book would be. I'm very impressed with this. As it stands right now I'm using loose mylar sleeves to protect my lithographs (which are clumsy and hard to get the lithographs into) and I have an acid free white litho box 4" thick. If I could have my lithos in sleeves like yours I could actually have them semi displayed.

Yup, made of plastic. This was given to members of the press before the game released on the PS2. It's quite rare.

Such a remarkable collection. Like everyone else, I absolutely love the art.The Sander Cohen statue I got from one of the developers of the original game. The statue was not for sale anywhere. It was only given to members of the dev team from the original game. Ken Levine personally gave these statues away. He, as well as Robb Waters (the sculptor of the piece and lead art director of Bioshock) both personally signed the bottom of the base of the statue. Each statue is also individually numbered on the bottom of the base. I am keeping the number of my piece private to protect the identity of the original owner.

Also, the Shepard statue from ME1, that link you showed me, that's just a presentation site right? You can't buy anything there? Where was it originally sold and where did YOU buy it? I'd love to get one of those. I'm a pretty big ME collector and have mostly all the official NTSC merchandise except for a few things from foreign countries...

Forgot to thank you for showing me the Portfolio book. That is absolutely FAN freaking tastic man. I never knew something like that existed. I searched, and searched and searched for months trying to find a safe, effective long term storage solution for my precious lithographs and the best I could come up with was "comic" book style mylar sleeves oversized, and an acid free box. This is just so great...I can't thank you enough!

The Profolio is really awesome. You won't regret buying it. Trust me.
The Commander Shepard statue was sold on the Bioware store years ago.
You couldn't buy it for retail now though. I'm sure you can find them on eBay though; of course, though, that also means that you can expect to get hammered hard on the price. I got mine on clearance at the Bioware online store and only paid something like $40. It sat on the Bioware store for ages. Part of the reason, I suspect, for why they cancelled the line is because the statues did not sell well at all. As I said, they had to go on clearance before they eventually sold them all. They had a Saren statue primed and ready to go too.

Damn shame that they cancelled the line. I'm hopeful that they'll eventually release high quality statues based on this series again.

I missed my chance when they were still available on ubiworkshop because of my finals and had cut myself off from most electronics for weeks. :banghead:
Been looking on ebay for months and have never seen one on sale yet.

p.s. Do they include a CoA with the AC litho?

The Ezio giclée is truly a grail piece. I actually had an extra one and I passed it along to another member from this forum. This one here never leaves my collection; and I've had some crazy offers on it too.

It's not the Fortune Hunter edition game. It's a marketing item that was given to certain retail outlets (and possibly members of the press) to educate them on the game. It contains game info and info on various accolades and other recognitions that the game had garnered to that point (this kit was distributed either right before the game released or right when the game released.) It has a secret compartment in the back that contains a lanyard and badge. It's a pretty damn awesome piece. I certainly love it.

Haha. You'll catch up soon enough I'm sure. You already have the Claptrap print, the Bayonetta print, and the Ezio print. Those are all outstanding pieces.
By the way, the Bayonetta and Claptrap prints that I posted in this thread are both yours actually, lol. I have my own copies (different numbers) by I just haven't taken pictures of them. :D

No CoA. It is stamped on the reverse-side though. So if you're trying to authenticate a genuine example, look for the Ubisoft stamp on the back of the print. Plus it's embossed with the Ubisoft Guest Artist seal, and the paper is very distinct too.

I got my posters in on monday, Bayonetta and Clap Trap.

Very impressed by both, but looking at the pictures I thought Bayonetta was much larger. Thnakfully it's not, running out of room :l

One more quick update. My Assassin's Creed III Steelbook Employee Gift Set. It includes one faux-wood case, 7 Steelbooks, a handful of mini-colonial flags (with ACIII logo), and one oversize poster flag. Ubisoft partnered with Gamestop to give these sets as gifts to retail staff at Gamestop stores. Each employee would get a free Steelbook from the set. The rest of the set was then either split between staff, put on display at the store, given to customers, or just straight up destroyed. Hope you like the pics:

By far, from a purely aesthetic point of view, the Marvel vs Capcom poster is just absolutely S T U N N I N G. Are those all real signatures on the MW2 poster? Jeesh...!

Hi,

No, the signatures are not original. This was a promo poster that was given away to people that pre-ordered the game at North American Gamestop stores. The thing about that poster is that it was only given to people that pre-ordered the game well in advance of the game's release.

I think they only had it available right when the game was announced or right as soon as it was available for pre-order. They didn't give it away at any other point, and I do believe that it had a single print run.

I'm also fairly certain that it had a low print run because I believe it was never restocked; and I'm positive that each store had few of these available.

Therefore, I'm pretty sure that this is one of the rarer Gamestop pre-order posters. I bet that most people that pre-ordered the game, never even knew this poster existed.

Hi there, the L4D2 item is a launch kit that was created to celebrate the release of the game and to create awareness for the product. The case is made of cardboard and it's made to look like one of those "In case of emergency, break glass" cases that you see in some buildings. Inside the case is a mini-baseball bat, a bunch of Mardi Gras-style beads, and a postcard. It's an outstanding piece, and quite rare as well. You just don't see these anymore. Most are completely lost. These were meant to be used as intended, then discarded. It's one of the best things in my entire collection.

Can I ask how you got something like that. As I browse the boards I can't help but wonder how people get things like this and press kits and other awesome collectables. The bat says Gamestop on it. Did you work for gamestop when you got it?

Edit: Forgot to mention how sick that original Silent Hill poster is. That game is one of my first memories of a video game, playing it with my father when I was a young kid.

It's rare if you have the whole kit. The bat itself comes up from time to time, but not the complete kit. Some dude is trying to sell one for 5K right now. It's, of course, an idiotic price, but it should tell you at least that it's a prized piece.

So I just got this in, and man oh man, this is easily one of the coolest pieces of gaming memorabilia that I now own. The quality is out of this world good and the presentation case and letter are also awesome. It's quite clear that the flag was made to withstand the elements and last a lifetime. Oh and it's also quite large. This is no doubt a full size flag, just like the flags you see flying over fire stations or government buildings. Actually though, the materials used on this flag are probably more reminiscent of those used in the colonial era; and therefore it probably wouldn't really be comparable to the flags of today. It has a nice aged look and feel as well, which I love. I feel truly lucky to have it. Hope you all like the pics:

I got really lucky with the Chun Li statue. They only made 75 of the black outfit version. The only way to get one was through an email lottery of sorts. It was first come first serve via email request. The company apparently received hundreds of emails the second the offer went live, and thousands of emails within the minutes that followed.

They also made the classic blue version, and a variant red version. Both of those they made more of. You can still find those for sale at retail price. The black version that I have is probably worth at least $1000 give or take a few hundred bucks.

This Tomb Raider print is the mini/gimped version. There's an amazing full size version that I hope to own one day. Though it probably won't happen any time soon. They're incredibly rare right now.

I managed to snag another SDCC ME lithos set. This time they're unsigned though. Right now they're just complimenting my signed set; though I will likely sell or trade for them in the near future.

I'm super excited to finally have an ultra rare Naughty Dog piece in my collection!
What I have here is a The Last Us Variant poster signed by the artist.
They only made 40 of these prints and they were never available for sale.

There are a few things that distinguish this variant print from the regular version.

Firstly, this print is considerably larger than the regular version. The variant measures 20"x30", whereas the regular version is really a mini-poster at only 11"x17".

Secondly, the variant is actually a high quality giclee print. The giclee printing process is widely considered to be one of the best printing processes. It produces a near 100% accurate reproduction of original art. The regular version is most certainly not a giclee.

The paper that the variant is printed on is also vastly superior to the mini version. It's a finely textured, heavy duty cotton paper. Whereas the mini version is printed on typical wood pulp-based stock paper. The variant also has a matte look, whereas the regular version is glossy.

Also, the regular version has an ESRB notice and the Naughty Dog logo on it. The variant has neither.

Finally, the variant is mounted on artist foam-board.

I know that 18 of the 40 variant prints were given to fans. In fact, the game's director (Bruce Straley) personally gave away 15 of the 18 aforementioned prints to fans at PAX Prime 2012; and the other 3 prints were given away through a contest.
I have one now of course; and the remaining 21 prints I can only imagine were distributed in-house at Naughty Dog.

I got this awesome Connor print today. I do feel super lucky to have been awarded one of these prints. It was not sold and was only given as a gift to people that bought a Desmond hoodie on the Ubi Workshop early this year. It was actually given away because people that bought a hoodie had to wait an extremely long time to get their hoodie. I, for instance, bought my hoodie in January and only today got my hoodie.

So yeah, you pretty much had to be at the right place, at the right time to get one of these prints. From what I understand, the Ubi Workshop people will never reprint, redistribute, or sell this print in order to preserve the uniqueness and exclusivity of this piece.

Not that I hope you don't get one, but I'd be kind of ticked if they start handing more of these out. I say this because, they told me already that they will never again give these away. This was a one time thing specifically for people that bought a hoodie earlier this year.

I know that there are already rumblings of leftover prints that may be given away somehow; but, again, I think it's pretty disingenuous to say one thing, then do another.

one of the staff over at UbiWorkshop said they had some / several left over for if they mess up big again or feel the Ned to appologize to any customers
so they won't be sold or reproduced reprinted but they didn't print just enough for the Desmond hoodies
say there was 320 Desmond hoodie back log they would have ordered 40o prints
I known what you mean about the exclusivity but there wording is vague
as it says the print won't be reproduced but there are 3 ac3 books coming out that contain art so the image will probably turn up in one of them not as imprint but a image printed on a page

it wasn't solely for people who ordered the hoodie I have come across 2 people that had it for other heavily delayed orders but the delay was the same period of time so might have been a packing error that they got one

I am privileged today to add this stellar Liara T'Soni lithograph to my collection. I've had this piece on my most wanted list for a long time now, and it's one that I consider to be one of my personal holy grail pieces.

Of all the Mass Effect lithographs, this is widely considered to be one of the rarest and most sought after.

I really don't know how many of these they made, but considering how seldom they pop up, I can't image that too many of these are out there. I'd guess that only a few hundred of these were printed, possibly less.

The quality of the piece is outstanding; far better than I thought it would be. All of the little details are perfectly sharp and on point, the paper that the image is printed on is also of superior quality. They pretty much spared no expense to make these prints. It's also hand signed by the artist of the piece and by the author of ME:Redemption.

I know that this litho was only distributed to shops with Diamond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_Comic_Distributors) accounts. I also know that these Liara lithos are actually incentive products; which basically means that in order to get just a single one of these lithos, a comic shop would first have to order a set amount of ME books (usually a lot of books.)

I don't know exactly what book/s and how many had to be ordered in order to get one of these lithos, but I'd guess that a retailer would first need to order 200 or 300 books.

I've only ever seen 3 of these come up for sale on the secondary market, and I don't expect that they'll ever be any easier to come by; so, again, I do feel really lucky to have one now.

The kit includes a bunch of literature on both games, temp tattoos of Corvo's tattoo, a bunch of Dishonored lanyards, a Skyrim shirt, a sealed set of mini speakers, a bunch of stickers of Corvo's mask, as well as an actual wearable mask based on Corvo's mask.

i played enslaved and the game itself its not that great, didnt love the gameplay etc but the voice acting, the animation and the story makes it all worthwhile, i never been so moved by such great voice acting, Andy Serkis its a real master of what he does and really really underrated and not applaued on what he does.

I already received 4 PMs asking about the viewfinders.

Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to help anyone this time.

They're kind of tough to get a hold of right now. They might stay tough to find actually. Supposedly only one case of viewfinders was sent to each store; and they're not sending out any more. Basically, they're only for early bird preorders.

Also note that each case only contains a handful of viewfinders. I looked at the case, and it only had space for maybe 15 viewfinders. I didn't count how many fit in the case, I'm just guesstimating.

I pretty much blew my load on these viewfinders already; and the end result is one sole set for me to keep.

Sorry everyone. I'll let you all know if anything changes though.

I love it. It's absolutely beautiful. They're pretty tough to come by and whenever one does come up, it usually sells for a lot. I got a relatively fair price on mine though, so I feel good about the purchase.

These statues were made exclusively for staff at Insomniac. They were never available for sale to the general public. That may be why you hadn't seen it before.

The level of detail and overall quality of the piece is second to none. I'm definitely pleased with it.

I added a pic of the interior of the case. It's quite nice inside as well. I don't fancy myself a Steelbook collector, but I had to have that Hitman case. I believe the art was printed using metallic inks. The colors sparkle and change in intensity depending on the light source and viewing angle.

Mine arrived in perfect condition (ME clamshell artbook), no dents or damage on the shrink wrap, sometimes items get damaged in the warehouse or during transit from factory to warehouse.

How's the packaging? a little box and bubble wrap or just a padded envelope?

Doesn't tiao consider that first art print to be the rarest AC collectible overall?

List might be a bit outdated but seeing as you have the crouching altair statue and the AC II launch kit as well, I think it's safe to say you have some of the rarest AC collectibles going :)

Really do love all your art prints/lithos, especially the ME and borderlands one's

You also have an Uncharted folio so +1 to your list of grails :haha:

Funny thing is my favorite items might just be those Kotor statues as I really loved those games :rotf:

I suppose those are probably the rarest/most expensive collectibles for the knights of the old republic games?

Are they special? Like a first 4 figure or side show collectible?

Hey thanks a lot for all the kind words! The KOTOR busts are not all that rare. You can find them for reasonable prices. I think you can get Revan for like $70 and Malak for a couple hundred bucks at most, maybe less.

There's a KOTOR theater-style poster that's actually pretty rare. I would say that the poster is among the rarest KOTOR 1 items in existence. I don't have it yet, but I'm sure I'll have one some day.

And yes, Tiao does list the Ezio print as #1 rarest items in existence. There's a reason why I posted it as the very first item in my collection thread. It's a grail. I've had some crazy offers on that one, but there's no way I'll ever sell it. I actually had 3 or 4 of them but I sold all but one. I sold them all for cheap, all things considered. At least one I sold to a member here for a few hundred bucks. Let's just say he got the deal of the century...

Probably. I didn't see your post, but I did get it on eBay; so it's probably the same one. It's an amazing piece. I will cherish it for sure. I remember seeing these signs at stores back in the day, and I wanted one ever since. The second the opportunity presented itself, I jumped all over it. There was no way I wan't gonna own it. It displays ridiculously well too.

Hi, I got the keychains on eBay. They're really small. I can fit 2 in the palm of my hand. They're pretty rare, I think. The black one and white that I own are the only ones I've ever seen.

Nice updates mortal! What do you think about the bioshock statue concerning quality versus price?

It's certainly a high quality piece. It has a great deal of weight to it. In fact, i think it might be made of polystone or resin or some other comperable material. The paintjob is kind of lackluster though. The $100 price tag is kind of high for the piece, but I ultimately don't feel too bad about it. I think it would've been perfect at $79 to $85 tops. And the reason I say that is because for as nice as it is, it's kind of a simple piece. It's just a single cast piece with an OK paintjob. The cloth flag is nice, but you just know it cost them like 75? to add.
Again though, for $100 I don't feel totally ripped off because it is stone and the sculpt is really pretty.

The number on the AC shirt box does represent the shirts package edition number. Mine is #23 of course. The thing is that the UbiWorkshop people did not say how many of them exist though. Sneaky dastards!

This is the Bayonetta Poster Collection. It was a pre-order bonus. It's a roll with 8 unique posters. I only took pics of a couple posters. They're really nice quality. They have catch phrases and other quirky quotes on them. I've had it since day one, just never got around to taking pics.

I was hoping to have more stuff in this update, but a package that I was expecting never arrived. According to the tracking number, the package was delivered; but it most certainly never arrived. What a pain! I just hope this gets straightened out soon.
